I really wish I did.“ “I’m very happy to have access to these things [ozone equipment].” James (not his real name) was dealing with a chronic, antibiotic resistant bacterial infection which was verified through a bacterial culture. The infection caused frequent urination and resulted in him having to get up more than 10 times a night to go to the bathroom. The constant sleep deprivation caused extreme fatigue and exhaustion during the day which cost James his job. He first tried all sorts of natural remedies like drinking cranberry juice, herbs like Uva Ursi, D-Mannose, but nothing really helped. The symptoms would diminish temporarily, only to seemingly get worse afterwards. He finally capitulated and went for antibiotics, and that although he had been badly damaged with antibiotics around 15 years ago. He did a course of 10 days during which the infection got a bit better but then came back. Up to that point he had also tried drinking ozonated water and doing ozone saunas without much success. He finally caved in and did ozone bladder irrigation: he ozonated tap water at around 75 mcg/ml and injected it via an inserted catheter at several dosages of 60 ml. The first time after the bladder ozone irrigation the symptoms were “just gone”. James says he feels very lucky to have his own ozone equipment which allows him to do this at home. Another interesting thing he mentions: the consulting doctor first prescribed antibiotics which wouldn’t have worked for the infection anyway, as the later test results showed. He was also prescribed anti-acids in earlier years, just to find out that his problem was actually a lack of stomach acid. The disease and its worse forms run in his family. Due to the disease, his body creates too much blood, so his hematocrit was chronically elevated. This requires regular blood draws which in turn resulted in iron deficiency, low hemoglobin, and hence anemia. As a consequence he was suffering from fatigue. In order to improve his health, David looked for the best approach to raise his iron and hemoglobin levels and thanks to Dr. Shawn Baker found the carnivore diet. Around 3 years ago he went cold turkey from a paleo diet to eating only meat. Within a month he saw a significant improvement in his health and energy levels. Drinking Ozonated Water the Right Way (6 Tips) Here is how you make sure that you drink ozonated water the right to get the most out of it and to not hurt yourself: 1. Hold your breath while you drink it to avoid inhaling the ozone gas which collects on the surface. 2. Drink it on an empty stomach: so either first thing in the morning, or at least 3 hours after you ate 3. After you drank the ozonated water, wait at least 15 minutes. 4. When she was diagnosed in August 2018 she was bleeding so profusely that the doctor could not examine her properly. Why do some people report a worsening of air hunger when they do ozone therapy? Is it because ozone therapy makes Babesia infections worse? No, this is definitely not happening. How do we know? Because there are people with a Babesia infection who improved while doing ozone therapy. Because the same thing, ozone, can't make the infection worse in one person, but better in another. Just like antibiotics can't halt a bacterial infection in one patient, but make the bacteria multiply in another. So, this is definitely not what's happening. So what IS happening? The first thing to understand is that air hunger or the sensation of not being able to breathe, is not specific to Babesia. Air hunger can be caused by other issues as well. Especially, if nothing can be found in the lungs, one should look into neurological involvement. Breathing is controlled by a part of our brain which is situated at the base of our skull. If there is any form of cervical instability present, like atlantoaxial instability, craniocervical instability, bulging discs, or spinal stenosis - this can have an influence on the brain stem, which is the control center responsible for breathing. Cervical instabilities can be caused by a wide range of issues: connective tissue disorders, accidents (even minor ones), degeneration, auto-immune problems like arthritis, but also by infections. We know that tubercullosis, brucellosis, and respiratory infections can cause cervical instabilities and subluxations. The same is possible for Babesia and other tick born conditions. Why would ozone therapy make that worse? Because of Herxheimer reactions, possibly through oxalate displacement, or through relaxation of the muscles. There are two main reasons why this is highly unlikely: 1. The small intestine in a healthy human being is supposed to be very poor in bacteria. The digestion which takes place in the small intestine is based on enzymes, not bacteria. All the good bacteria reside in the large intestine. But when we drink ozonated water it goes into the small, not the large intestine. There are two mechanisms which make sure that there are as few bacteria in the small intestine as possible: the extreme acidity of our stomach and the ileocecal valve. The presence of bacteria in the small intestine is a medical condition called SIBO, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. 2. In order for the ozonated water to reach the large intestine it would have to travel through the entire length of the small intestine, so 22 to 25 feet which are filled with gastric juices, secretions and chyme.
