Beverage Companies Delegation Meets PM: Govt Providing All Kinds Of Support To Foreign Investors: PM
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the Government is providing all kinds of support to Foreign Investors and the business community in order to provide employment in the Country, increase domestic exports and play their full role in economic development.
A delegation of the international beverage companies met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad.
Prime Minister said it is a good thing that the positive results of the government's business-friendly policies have started coming.
The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to provide solutions to the problems of international companies after consulting on their proposals.
The members of the delegation paid tribute to the business-friendly policies of the Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
The delegation informed that international beverage companies have around 25 Factories in Pakistan, in which 130,000 people are directly employed.
The delegation informed the Prime Minister about the largest recycling system in the country by the companies and also told that these companies pay a huge amount of tax to the Country's treasury every year.

Pakistan and US Navy exercise Inspire Defense 2024 held in Karachi, ISPR
Naval forces from Pakistan and the United States completed a four-day bilateral training exercise, Inspired Union 2024, in Karachi, Pakistan, May 2.
Inspired Union focused on maritime interdiction operations, explosive ordinance disposal mine countermeasure tactics, techniques, and procedures, and harbor security. The exercise created opportunities for improving readiness, enhancing maritime security and stability, and promoting the freedom of navigation in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
"Exercises like Inspired Union continue to improve our readiness and interoperability in the maritime domain," said CAPT Robert "Paco" Porter, Commodore of Task Force 52. "Pakistan is an important partner and we are honored for their hospitality both during this exercise and the lead up to it. We look forward to future opportunities to work with an important partner like Pakistan."

SSGC raid on Mashallah Banquet in Surjani Town, Karachi, gas stealing direct from main service line
KARACHI The Sui Southern Gas Company has been fighting the menace of gas theft for the past couple of years. Ever since the inception of its Counter Gas Theft Operations (CGTO) Department, the Company has been successful in apprehending gas thieves and eventually getting them convicted allowing the Company to recover the amount of the gas stolen to some extent.
With the increasing use of gas compressors and residents of the Company’s franchise provinces resorting to illegal methods of obtaining natural gas from the Company’s pipeline, the CGTO and Customer Relations Department (CRD) teams have increased their raids so that this menace can be nib in the bud.
Just on Thursday, the CGTO team along with SSGC Police and Recovery Department raided “Mashallah Banquet” in Surjani Town, Karachi, where a gas thief was apprehended for stealing gas directly through the Company’s main service line having a connected load of 200cfthr. The illegal gas connection was cut on the spot and claims have been raised against the culprit.
Recently, in Karachi region, the CRD survey team confirmed theft of gas at Liaquatabad C1 area, where the residents were illegally obtaining gas via extensions from the Company’s distribution line. 64 houses were found to be involved in this incident, and their gas connections were cut on the spot.
In another raid at Jamia Milya, Malir, the CRD team found 51 houses involved in gas theft via rubber pipes. All illegal connections were disconnected on the spot. The total gas stolen in both of the aforementioned cases amounts to 110,400 cm per year (3,450,000 in rupee terms).
Meanwhile, in Larkana, 6 houses were found to be involved in overhead and underground gas theft. Rubber pipes and clamps used in this incident were removed at the spot and claims will be raised against the gas thieves.
The Company will continue to increase their efforts to fight against the incidences of gas theft until this evil is rooted out from the society.
