With the start of summer and tax season, most of the Shire's residents could only afford to go camping for the long weekend. Across the nation the Axe the Carbon Tax protesters waved their Canadian Flags over highways and border crossings. The Fellowship of Guelphissauga continues with the Housing Cost Crisis setting the tents and protests ablaze. For the second time this winter, a fire erupted in the tent encampment downtown and made some homeless people even more homeless. These unsafe living conditions caught the attention of both the Mayor and Greggles of Dorval. Dorval took his protest to the streets, whereas the Mayor stayed cozy and warm inside at his Housing Symposium. He desperately wanted ideas for ways to remove the tents ruining the view from his office window during the daytime. The Fellowship of Guelphissauga continues with a Blacklist Calamity at Conestoga College. Next week, the Corporation of the Shire will give everyone their Christmas presents with the 8.52% residential tax increase. This pissed off people so much that they stood with protest signs in the streets as they joined the tent encampments downtown. They setup camp next to the minimum wage earners, international students from Conestoga College, and Guelph-Mercury Reporters. The Mayor ignored their numbers, and instead spent the day entertaining local seniors with Christmas carols and pretend drumming. He couldn't handle the pressure, so he prayed to the Big Blue Orc and the Lord of the Liberals for help. The Housing Cost Crisis was declared an outbreak as the looming 8.52% tax increase was used as an excuse for landlords to increase their rent next year.
