How to punch fast and not hurt your training partner #mmatraining #mma
Skyrocket your MMA skills with my FREE course:
https://MMACoach.net/FREE-mma-Course/?ds24tr=how_to_punch_fast_and_safe_ytd
Here is how topunch fast and not hurt your training partner.
DRILL 1: Stand in front of a solid object and punch very close in front of it. It can be a wall, tree or a metal bar like this.
DRILL 2: Then punch the solid object very lightly.
DRILL 3: Punch right in front of your partner's face. His goal is not to flinch.
DRILL 4: Then hit your training partner very lightly in the face. Hit the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead, barely touching him.
This way you practice control while punching fast, and he needs to stay calm and not flinch.
Now go out there and spar safely.

Guard in MMA: Be Very Close Or Very Far
Skyrocket your MMA skills with this FREE course:
https://MMACoach.net/Free-MMA-Course/
While you should always strive to get on top in MMA, there will be times when you will end up on bottom and in guard. When that happens, relax, don’t panic and work your technique.
You want to be very close to your opponent by using underhooks, overhooks or the Lister grip. These 3 are my go to grips. Some people also use the rubber guard and the rat guard with great success. When you keep your opponent close it is impossible to get hit.
You can also be far from your opponent which then makes it easier to stand up.
Mid distance is dangerous and that is when you get hit most often.
Switch guard priorities. Usually the priorities for a BJJer look like this:
- Submit
- Sweep
- Stand up.
In MMA it should be:
- Stand up
- Sweep
- Sumbit.
