Something SeGaPhLo
As I mentioned in my book sanding stream earlier today, I'll start a game from the Sega Master System (Genesis) Classics that I have on Steam. I'm leaning toward playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but I haven't fully decided yet. It needs to be a game I can complete in the next few days, before the weekend.

Book Sanding II
Many books are still cut and in need of alignment and edge smoothing via sanding. I use a belt sander and various, simple jigs. Mostly it is a process by hand, and Ultimately I have to trust my eyes for the end result. I have done bookbinding for about eight years. This is one of my least favorite steps in the process because it is time-consuming and difficult to get right. I think I finally got a setup that will work for IRL, though don't quote me on that. It should at least work for this stream, though maybe not for hiking ones (because something always goes wrong). For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Man Burning IRL
I'm burning man, not because I know what that festival is about - nope, I have no clue! I'm not hot, as in attractive - nope, I'm old, dumb and ugly. Rather, it's all about the weather. Where I'm at, it's predicted to reach almost 100°F today. Yikes, this man is burning! Sounds like a great day for a hike! I did say I'm dumb, after all. Hopefully my experiments in the previous stream pay off. At least I know a few things that almost for certain won't work, so I'll skip those options. I'll probably use the dual VDO.Ninja setup, as that seems to work best. However, I might also experiment with my 360 camera. Ironically, I meant to try that in the previous stream but forgot. So I guess I'll try it out on the field. Hopefully it's not a total F, but a W.

IRL Gear Experiments with FoamHead Crew
It's no secret that I like to play with streaming gear, but on a shoestring budget. For the most part, most of the gear I have is not top-notch, more like bottom rung. I don't have a lot of money, so I make due with simpler solutions. Granted, sometimes my streams suffer for it, especially in IRL. But with determination I believe it is always possible to do amazing things with lackluster gear. I have been experimenting with IRL tricks for 4 years. It's always super exciting to try new things, but often they are complete fails. Tonight I'll look through my various IRL gear and organize it. It's a mess from a recent trip where everything seemed to go wrong. If I get a good setup, maybe I'll go on a hike in the next day or 3 to try it out in the field. I'm like Naruto: I fail a million times, but I keep on trying until I get it right. I made an awesome discovery regarding possibilities with one of my cameras prior to starting this stream. This will be a very messy, scuffed, unrehearsed show and tell and experiment session.

Book Sanding & BBQ
It's a little bit too nice today, as in super hot. But one of these days I need to work on some books. I have a ton waiting to have their edges sanded smooth. So why not today? Well, if mosquitoes answer that question, I might end early. Rather than spend a bunch of time setting up the stream I'll start the stream and set up while I'm already live. Ended up smelling BBQ on the air and did a quick one myself on stream. Pretty scuffed, but oh well. Food. Eat. Stuff.

Let's see how many sprite sheets I can convert into animated GIFs for Retro Runner. I'll write basic HTML, CSS & Javascript to add new runners. Since emote slots are full on both Kick and Rumble I'll add new emotes to 7TV instead. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Low Light Bible 1
Go with the PhLo, and you never know what yer gonna get. While messing around with various lighting and camera scenarios, I got in the mood to write something down from the Bible. Then I spent more and more time messing with lights. Good enough, now I'll write. We have a black light, two colored lights, and some LED copper string lights. Oh, and also crazy digital color cycling. Why? I dunno, cuz it looks kinda cool or something. I'll write out some Scripture until I get tired. Introducing the likeness of my Grandpa, rest his soul. I found this crocheted doll at a 4th of July celebration a few days ago. Grandpa was my biggest hero in life, and I miss him. Though nearly blind and deaf, he spent most of his time studying the Bible. I'll never become half the man he was, much less become anything like Jesus while I yet live in this world. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless our efforts in drawing nearer to Him in His Word. This might not last long, as the music might put me and everyone else to sleep. I wrote out Psalm 37. Wow, that was longer than I remembered! I made it though, by the grace of God. Hopefully something will stick with me.

Maybe Microscope Monday
It has been quite a while since I've done a microscope stream. My OBS scene might not be set up properly. Rather than spending an hour preparing before starting, I'll mess with OBS after going live. On a beach trip with family a few weeks ago I brought back a few bags of sand. Each bag contains a different type of sand. Let's see what they look like under the microscope. A fancy set of precision tweezers I bought some months ago will come in handy. This isn't exactly exciting content, so prepare your pillows. I'll put all y'all to sleep. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Volkée Juggler McFrawstbÿrge
Today I'll be experimenting with cintronella candles and repellent for the mosquitoes. If it works, I'll keep going. Otherwise it might be a very short stream. I juggle a soccer ball for exercise only. I don't know any fancy tricks. If I'm not out hiking, I want to do this more often for balance, coordination and fitness. No idea if my audio will be working today, as usual with IRL.
Random construction of old picnic table benches, plastic chairs and BBQ. Same stuff everyone always does on stream, nothing new or exciting. Huge disasterous splash of candle wax, messy clothes, the standard stuff.

Second stream on Arena.tv, or first non-garbage stream (hopefully). I'll experiment with Social Stream to see if I can get chat working this time. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

To Hot for IRL
Getting a late start as usual on a ride & hike. It's pretty hot outside, so I'll be a bit sluggish. If there is a cell signal where I'm going I'll stream something there. Today marks my first stream on Arena.tv. I literally learned of it minutes before heading out and hastily set it up for restream, no idea if it'll work. Maybe I'll just sit and write if no one joins me. The last two passages on my mind have been Jeremiah 17 and the book of Titus. No reason in particular. Maybe random, maybe something the Spirit wants to say to those who have ears. Hopefully I'm listening. Speaking of listening, featuring retro video game music from the 16-bit era.
Turned out being a massive botch/scuff/fail/experiment stream. Audio wasn't working at all for the longest time. So I made it a chance to play around with various setups. I think I should go back to using my second phone as the audio source. My wrist strap broke. My wireless mic isn't working. Nothing works. Story of my life.

2023-07-06 River Hike With Mom
Mom and I went on a short hike along a river. It was super scenic as all the flowers were in bloom, and various insects and critters were visible. Lots of butterflies, moths and bees were out pollinating. The water was super clear, and the ripples were hypnotic. Many downed trees filled the river, and flowers grew on them.
This was not my normal livestreamed content, but prerecorded on my Samsung S23 Ultra. The video is raw and unedited, except to trim camera shake at end of each clip and combining clips together in the same order as they occurred.

Humble Small Town Fireworks, Happy 4th
Mom and I are sitting and relaxing, waiting for a small town fireworks display to start. Dad wasn't able to join. It's not the biggest show in the world, but it's usually good by small town standards. I'll have a small set of copyright free patriotic music playing the whole time. No idea if my phone camera will adapt to the lighting and focus. If it doesn't do well, pardon the blur. At least there will be a few pretty lights. Happy 4th of July, Independence Day! Value your freedom, as it was hard won by the bravery of heroes and granted by the grace of God. True freedom is a heart set free by the work of Jesus Christ and His Spirit. Seek His kind of true freedom while it may yet be found. 1 Corinthians 7:21-24. Galatians 5. John 8:34-36.

Block Walker
Summer in the city. Or is it spring? No idea. One of those seasons. Should be nice. There is no plan on exactly where I'll go or what I'll do. I might eat dinner at somewhere - like Chipotle. Well, plans never come to gether for this chap. Chipotle was closed, and it took FAR TOO LONG to get there. Walk ended up being around 10.6 miles. All the restaurants were closed, so I called Mom to pick me up. I encountered a ton of odd signal, camera and audio problems - as usual! It seems every possible IRL streaming complication gathers to me like a magnet! There might be a few seconds of clear streaming in with all the scuffed junk. I'll do what I do with all my stream replays - leave as is, unedited, junk and all. A couple people understood I was a live streamer and called out - rare. Was a fun day chatting with friends. No idea how the time flew so fast though! Must have stepped through a time portal.

Wall Ball
I'm in the city for a couple days. Off to my favorite brick wall to kick my soccer ball and juggle. Well, if it's still there. I think the park might have been remodeled, and not sure my wall made the cut. Hopefully!

Several family members are going for a beach walk this morning. I'll record at least part of the journey. Other than having fun and spending time with family, my goal is to collect some cool sand at the south end of the walk. I didn't get nearly enough last time I was here. I fiddled with Social Stream and IRL Pro, and I believe the settings for my chat overlay should look and function more to my liking. The sunset photo is from a walk I took last night.

You Should Be Able to Defeat Him Now
The beach. Because my weak brain can't handle the crowd. I wasn't planning to stream much while here. But now that I took the time to set things up, I figured I might as well go for it. Going direct via phone, gimbal & RTMP instead of VDO.ninja. My old laptop essentially has no GPU, so I couldn't use it to stream from.

Jubilant Fields
Complications beyond number! After a grueling uphill slog I reached my first destination. There was zero signal for streaming there, so after hanging out for a while I targeted a second high place. The second place had a great signal. However, my normal and somewhat complicated multi-streaming setup wasn't working - like not at all. After a couple hours messing with settings to no avail, I opted to do a DLive exclusive stream. A while back they finally added a feature I had wanted for ages back when I streamed exclusively on DLIve - streaming directly from their app. I told myself I would try it out someday, and it came to mind after my technical difficulties. The app is pretty nice for a platform specific app. Very basic, but it shows chat and all the information I might want to see. The bitrate was surprisingly low, but that's because it streams at no higher resolution than 720P. The mosquitoes were awful today. The title is taken from Psalm 96 which I read on stream.

Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia, Part 15
Starting at 99.5% completion tonight, I'll probably attempt to beat Dracula. There is one more item I might farm for before that. I first played Castlevania Order of Ecclesia long ago, and my old brain won't remember all the details and secrets. Metroidvanias are my favorite type of game, and I'm a completionist, so it will take many hours and livestreams to get all the way through. No speedrunning here.

Opening ELFSAR's Artwork
First off, follow ELFSAR on Kick, DLive, Rumble, Youtube, Twitch and Trovo. He's a fantastic artist who generously does giveaways to subs, supporters and viewers. The one and only time I entered his "drawing" (pun), I won an awesome drawing of Link, inspired by the recent Zelda Tears of the Kingdom video game. Today will be a very quick stream where I open the package to reveal the drawing. I'm sure even my decent camera won't do it justice. Hand drawn hard is one of those things you need to see in person to fully appreciate. I seen it yet, as the package remains unopened until now. I was patient to open it on stream with anyone who might be around. I also ordered some pencil leads recently, and I'll open that package on stream too. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia, Part 14
Even though I'm starting with 96.9% completion tonight, something tells me I won't finish the game. I still want to go around hunting enemy item drops and possibly a few other tasks before beating the game. The Training Hall also needs to be played. Metroidvanias are my favorite type of game, and I'm a completionist, so it will take many hours and livestreams to get all the way through. No speedrunning here.
