Bible Reading - Job 1-5, Matthew 2
My sister invited me and my parents to join her in a Bible reading plan this year. The plan goes somewhat chronologically through the Bible. There are only readings for 5 days per week, allowing for missed days or breaks. If you wish to join along, here's the reading plan: https://www.intoyourbible.org/read-through-the-bible. I'll finish the daily Bible reading before responding to chat or giving a short vlog report.

Bible Reading - Gen 1-3, Luke 1, Jn 1:1-14
It's a new year, 2024. I haven't streamed in over four months. Family and friends of mine are going through a Bible reading plan, and I decided to join them. The plan goes chronologically through the Bible, 5 days a week to allow for missed days or breaks. If you wish to join along, here's the link to the reading plan: https://www.intoyourbible.org/read-through-the-bible. First Person Shooter, With a Camera
It's been ages since I've been on a hike. I'm going to a place where I haven't tested the signal, so I might not even be able to stream there. Either way, I'll enjoy the adventure. Hopefully it's not too smoky. If conditions are right, I might do two hikes.

Kid Chameleon, Part 3
Part 3 in my playthrough of Kid Chameleon for the Sega Genesis, played on PS3 via Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. I'll not try to do all the achievements or find all the secret levels. My goal will be to get to the end of the game if possible. I'm not opposed to using save and load game because I already played this many years ago. While it's not a first playthrough, it's been so long that I don't remember much about it. I was surprised to read that it has over 100 levels!

I juggle a soccer ball for exercise. It is good for balance, coordination and fitness. One reason I haven't been streaming much lately is because I was working on a script to get a live count of my kicks on stream. That is finally finished, and I'll use it today. I haven't tested it in a livestream context, nor have I tried to sync it up. There might be a sub-second delay for the number to change. Maybe I'll add effects and other modifications to the counter later. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Kid Chameleon, Part 1
Every time I hear about Kid Chameleon I say, "I want to play that again sometime soon." Soon is now. I played the game on Sega Genesis back when I was a kid. My memory of it is that it was a fun and unique game. Recent investigation reveals it has over 100 levels! That is not something I remember about it. Normally I am a completionish with games, but since this one is ridiculously huge, I'll take it as it comes. If it seems reasonable to beat it, I'll keep going. I'll not try for anything crazy like no deaths, no damage or finding 100% of all the levels or items. This will be a casual playthough. Since I'm playing it on the PS3 via Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, I'll take advantage of the ability to save as I go along. If I die, I might reload to give myself a fighting chance to get through. Hopefully I don't end up hating this game. I'll keep a positive attitude about it, relying on my past self's overal memory and impression.

Retro Runners 1
I changed the name of this series from Spritenado to Retro Runners, since that's the current name of the project. Now that all the legacy data has been converted over to JSON, I'm not really sure what I'll do. I might take a stab at coding some Javascript to work the with JSON. More likely I'll convert more sprite sheets into GIFs. I have to be in a very rare mental condition to want to write code, as my brain doesn't work well in the coding persona anymore. If I have space for more GIFs to get approved, I'll upload them to 7TV. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Book Sanding VIII
Bookbinding is currently my primary crafting hobby. Many books are cut and in need of alignment and edge smoothing via sanding. I use a belt sander and various, simple jigs. Mostly it is a process done by hand, and ultimately I have to trust my eyes for the end result. This is one of my least favorite steps in the process because it is time-consuming and difficult to get right. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

I'll try using vdo.ninja's native app today to see how it compares to my normal setup. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Big Top Mee-Wee's Big Adventure
I am the Mee. You and Mee are the Wee. Oui? Come join mee on a big adventure to the top of a wee mountain. I wish I could livestream the entire hike, up and down, but the signal is probably only good near the top. I'll check the signal on the way up and start as soon as it seems good enough. Hopefully all my tech works today. I'll try my $4.XX wireless mic again today. First time using it on a hike, hopefully it doesn't let me down. I've been kind of in a mental funk the last few days and have slept in very late after staying up super late. I'll basically stay up all night before this hike in order not to miss the opportunity to get out. So I'll be pretty tired!

Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Part 1
As a kid I was pretty good at Sonic 1 & 2. Decades later, I suck. After recently beating Sonic 1 on stream, Sonic 2 seems like the next logical step. I spent way too much time modifying my gaming scenes! Otherwise I might have started earlier.

Tonight I'll convert more data for RetroRunner from hardcoded Javascript and Css into JSON. If I have space for more GIFs to get approved, I'll upload them to 7TV. I'll break my all-time record of simultaneous platforms during this stream for a total of 13. 13 x 2 = 26, which is the number of today's Spritenado. I added viewer counts for all platforms with widgets that I could find. I also forgot about the over-the-top animated color cycling stuff scene I made. Don't think I've actually used it before, here goes! Ugh, seems Aircast is pure junk. So disappointing because I want it to work. The first 30 minutes of my stream were such trash that I didn't bother to upload the VOD here. Until I find another Restream alternative, I'll continue to use the Multi RTMP plugin for OBS. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

I juggle a soccer ball for exercise only. I don't know any fancy tricks. If I'm not out hiking, I want to do this more often for balance, coordination and fitness. Using a couple new IRL gadgets, including a different wireless mic today. Hopefully everything works ok. I had to leave my normal ball behind, so I'm using a much older one today. At least it's properly inflated though. This marks my first ever stream on Twitch, and a return to Youtube. If things go well, I'll continue. It's kind of a trial run, as I've had problems in the past (with YT in particular). For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

There are two disciplines of this project that I might work on tonight. Either I'll convert sprite sheets into animated GIFs for Retro Runner, or I'll convert hardcoded Javascript and Css "data" into json. New GIFs will be uploaded to 7TV. This is my first time streaming on Live.space, Vaughn, Xeenon, Picarto and Piczel for a total of 11 platforms. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Book Sanding IV
This will be a short stream since my friend is on the way over in a couple hours. Many books are still cut and in need of alignment and edge smoothing via sanding. I use a belt sander and various, simple jigs. Mostly it is a process by hand, and ultimately I have to trust my eyes for the end result. I have done bookbinding for about eight years. This is one of my least favorite steps in the process because it is time-consuming and difficult to get right. I'll mostly use the same streaming setup as last time. However, the Insta360 camera needs a revisit, so I'll use 100% phones as cameras through VDO.Ninja today. I revamped details of my OBS scenes last night to look a little more consistent and pleasing to [my] eye. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

I'll attempt to quickly get my wireless mic, TTS and the Insta360 wide angle camera set up. Insta360 didn't work, so I went with my phone for video, and I played with my gimbal a bit. Mostly it is a process by hand, and ultimately I have to trust my eyes for the end result. I have done bookbinding for about eight years. This is one of my least favorite steps in the process because it is time-consuming and difficult to get right. I'll use essentially the same IRL setup as last time. Hopefully my camera doesn't freeze a bunch of times. I semi-permanentely mounted the long USB extension to the ceiling inside, toward the door, prior to the stream, so I won't have to restring it every time. I also changed the audio setup slightly, simplifying the cords. A random graphical frame was added around the cameras. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.

Let's see how many sprite sheets I can convert into animated GIFs for Retro Runner. I'll write basic HTML, CSS & Javascript to add new runners. Since emote slots are full on both Kick and Rumble I'll add new emotes to 7TV instead. Instead of making a bunch of sprites I got distracted by beginning rework on the script for Retro Runners. Mostly all I managed to do was come up with a basic JSON data format for the runners and platforms. I'll continue from where I left off another time. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.
