Curly the Guinea Fowl Hen hatched her first clutch of eggs on the farm.

I can never tell if my Guinea Fowl Storm Troopers are cheerleading, coaching or refereeing the Ayam Cemani boys fighting. The fights never last long, but they do pull out those beautiful long main sickle feathers. It must be a pride thing.

So this poll taker drives up on the farm and was nicely greeted by a few of my guinea fowl. Needless to say, she ran as fast as she could believing she was going to be attacked by my guineas. I walked out the door and heard all these noises in the tree. I stood there and watched to see what type of bird was making all that noise. Then Blaze, my farm cat comes climbing down the tree with no fear and meets up with his mom, Yardie.

My guinea fowl are usually the ones that drive me crazy. But this time they drove a black Labrador dog away. Ha, who says I need a guardian dog when I have guardian guineas!

Talk about quirky chickens. Pavlovskaya chickens are a Russian type breed that handle very cold weather. These two (first one in the video is #36 and the second one with a frilly head, is #34) have been very interesting to watch on the farm. And since I do not have a hen for either of them, they need a mate. Any takers?
