Doctor Who just posted its best overnight rating of the season and it's an episode where Ncuti Gatwa is barely in the show! To say Russell T. Nintendo of America localizers appear to have turned a character in the new Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake trans. Vivian, one of the ghost character in the GameCube classic was depicted in the 2004 original as a girl, but now there is allusions to that not being the case. The truth of the matter is somewhat in the details as this character had been referred to in the official materials as an otokonoko, a Japanese Fem-boy, in the previous iteration. While there are more concrete changes in the game, this one seems to be a non starter. Japan is a weird place with this stuff, so while it might fit the new direction for Nintendo of America, not all that glitters is gold and not all that gender-bends is woke. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II was announced at the beginning of the Xbox Series X/S lifecycle and is finally out there for the world to play, but it's too little, too late. The Journalists LOVE the game, but the players are not keen on the overly verbose story and light gameplay. The sales numbers are a completely different story though... While it is a GamePass release, the Steam numbers are atrocious. The dedicated fans of the game, willing to pay full price are few and far between. That's not a good sign for a multivariate approach for Xbox and the viability of their subscription model in the long-term is still up for debate. Needless to say, Ninja Theory appears to be yet another studio to be on the Xbox chopping block; but this looks to be by design.
