This was also seen at the Custer State Park Wildlife loop in South Dakota.

Our drive to the campground is about a 45-minute drive not much to see lots of farms and tree.

This is the wildlife loop at Custer State Park you can see bison, antelope, wild donkeys and some of the normal critters like rabbit's, coyotes. My husband made the climb I don't care for the loose gravel you have to walk up.

We usually do not see them until it is dark outside I guess he is all messed up from daylight savings time also.

This is the only time Trax sees the prairie dogs is when he is not down sniffing all their holes.

This is the smaller prairie dog town in the park but less people hanging around looking at them so easier to get a video. The name “prairie dog” is derived from both their habitat and their habits. These rodents live in the short grass prairie, and early European explorers likened them to small dogs because of their shrill, bark-like vocalizations. These calls are part of a complex communication system that prairie dogs use for security Additionally, their warning call sounds similar to a dog’s bark, which contributed to their name. The genus name “Cynomys” is derived from the Greek word for "dog mouse"

Saw this lark sparrow while we were camping, I had to look it up when I got home it is my first time seeing it, I like its face markings very unique. Found in grasslands, roadsides, farmlands, pastures, and open country with scattered trees and shrubs.The oldest recorded Lark Sparrow was a male and at least 9 years, 11 months old. ​

While camping we got a very nice spot next to the fence and the bison were just a hop skip and a jump from the side of our camper, I was glade there was a fence between us.

This is Trax chasing all the birds away I was going to video, he now listens for when I go outside and runs out to chase away anything I might be videoing.

The female crossbill is trying to scare off the pine siskins.

We put this birdhouse up last fall I was happy to see tree swallows move in, I was not happy to see the house sparrows tried to take it over, I removed the nest and one house sparrow egg, the swallows came back now they chase away the house sparrows.

The female is the one that looks more green than yellow the male is the very bright yellow one as you can see, she rules.

Since the bird did what it did, I thought I would make it funny.

I think the birds are turkey vultures not really sure since they are so high up.

This was taken last fall driving through the Black Hills of South Dakota so much gold and yellow was just pretty.

Blue jays are pretty smart look at this one hiding the peanut and then putting something on top, so no other birds see it.

This is in the area where we live, I always wanted to video it with a drone while there was snow on the ground thought it would look so pretty.

So they were actually being chased by Trax he is just not in the video.

I kept thinking it was going to turn around and show us his front side, but he never did.

There are so many different kinds of sparrows around I like these they look like they are wearing a sweater.
