A Special Lesson from Jesus - Luke 6
A Special Lesson from Jesus: St. Luke was one of the authors of the gospels of the New Testament. The Gospel of Luke was a book filled with the teachings of Jesus, and was both deeply spiritual and inspirational.
The best teachings in St. Luke, Chapter 6, were the beatitudes of course. These were some of the deepest and most spiritual teaching of Jesus, and if you haven’t read them I encourage you to, they’re spiritual pearls of wisdom and life, and other than the commandments themselves,… are one of the greatest lessons of Jesus.
But this video presents a few other selections from the gospel of Luke that I wanted to share, words which are profound and rich in the spirituality of Jesus and point to a way of life on Earth that is Holy and Blessed, as well as to the path to Heaven.

Fetal Marijuana Syndrome – Part I -- Marijuana Related Birth Defects and Adverse Neonatal Effects
One of the greatest concerns we have not just in America but throughout the world is birth defects, and one of the greatest causes of birth defects – and the only one which is preventable, is Fetal Alcohol and Drug effects – or FADE.
If you are a parent or expecting a child, you would do anything to make sure your baby is born healthy, and not in the category of “special needs”, a category of physical and neurodevelopment that can last a lifetime, and cause a lifetime of problems and misery for those born with it.
While there is an abundance of research on alcohol and other drugs on a developing fetus, one drug in particular, that’s often overlooked, is Marijuana.
After years of research, it’s now common knowledge that marijuana use causes dependency and addiction. It causes a wide variety of emotional, mental and psychiatric illnesses. It causes a wide range of social problems, and social and family dysfunction. And it causes a host of physical problems including Lung Damage, Cancer, Heart Disease, and to some extent even brain damage.
But new research has now demonstrated a wide spectrum of adverse neonatal disorders which can be legitimately ascribed to marijuana use during pregnancy, as well as in breastfeeding after delivery.
This video describes the wide number of adverse effects that babies experience when their mothers use marijuana during pregnancy, and cautions that, as according to both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Food and Drug Administration, the US Surgeon General, the March of Dimes, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and virtually every health organization in the world, pregnant women should avoid marijuana use for the health and safety of their babies.

If you are a parent or expecting a child, you would do anything to make sure your baby is born healthy, and not in the category of “special needs”, a category of physical and neurodevelopment that can last a lifetime, and cause a lifetime of problems and misery for those born with it.
This video presents new information on one drug that’s often overlooked, Marijuana, and the adverse neonatal effects upon the developing fetus and baby.
This video summarizes a Canadian study of over 106,000 births, that showed that adverse neonatal outcomes were associated with maternal marijuana use during pregnancy, and that infants who were born to women who reported marijuana use during pregnancy, were more likely to experience a wide spectrum of adverse neonatal outcomes than infants who were born to women who did not report marijuana use during pregnancy (non-users). The study also cautioned women who breastfeed to avoid cannabis use, as the THC readily passes through the milk to the infant.
The video summarizes by cautioning mothers not to use marijuana either before or during pregnancy, or if breastfeeding after delivery.

Whatever Happened to the Signers of the Declaration of Independence?
So, a lot of people today “protest”. They take up a cause and say that they are “fighting” for their cause. But are they really willing to pay a price – an exorbitant price to defend that cause? Are they really patriots? How far are they willing to go?
This video is about what happened to the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This was a group of men that knew that once they signed that document, that they would be declared traitors and treasonous to the ruling government of England. They knew that by signing their names, they placed both their fortunes, their families, and their lives on the line.
This video shows what happened to them, and invited everyone to think about the true costs of life, liberty and freedom and the horrific costs that these early Americans – our forefathers, paid for us to enjoy these virtues today.

Why Go to Church?
Why Go to Church?
There are so many reasons to go to church one can’t do justice to it. But first and foremost, we shouldn’t go to Church to see what we can get out of it, but we should go to adore and to worship God.
However, here is a story of one man who said that he didn’t get anything out of church, and it started a long-term conversation in the Letters-to-the-Editor section of a newspaper, until one reply enlightened everyone. Here is that story.
Remember, the commandment is to love God with your whole mind, your whole heart, and your whole soul. So, how do you show your love? You go to His house and you worship Him.

Emotional Control: Act - Don't React
Emotional Control: Act - Don't React.
As the outside temperatures spike, again, our own tempers can spike as well. In fact, it’s well known that hot summers themselves, often themselves cause hot tempers. We can become angry, depressed, hurt or rejected, and, and here’s the kicker, we can respond accordingly. And unfortunately, too often we respond in an emotional attack.
One of the greatest problems we have, time and again, is poor emotional control.
The set of social skills needed for self-control, especially for emotional control, is one of the greatest skill sets you can develop and will serve a person well all through life - in school, work, marriage, in all friendships, and within society - your community at large.
Did you ever scream, holler, argue or curse and then were sorry or even embarrassed afterwards? Did you ever wish that you had never "said those things?" Did you ever feel the remorse that comes from "crossing that line" and saying something that hurt someone else - especially someone you love or admire and would "never hurt?" As importantly, did you ever have your anger or rage backfire on you, creating yet, more problems?
Feelings are very real and very human, and occasionally they become intense and very powerful. The key is to control our feelings so they do not control us - so they do not control our thoughts, words, attitudes and behaviors.
This video explores emotions and feelings, and provides concrete ways “to control our emotions so that they do not control us.”

The End of War - World Peace is Increasing Across the World
The End of War - World Peace is Increasing Across the World:
Throughout history, one of the greatest destructive forces for humanity was man-made: war. War has been responsible for up to 1 billion deaths, and has resulted in needless suffering including Loss of Human Life, Disease, Poverty Fear, loss of natural resources, famine, water shortage, psychological harm and mental illness, physical injuries and loss of limbs, loss of homes, schools, churches, and businesses, displacement of people, destruction of the environment, economic losses, poverty, homelessness, unnecessary hardships, and anguish, pain, and despair - more than anyone should ever have to go through.
The good news however, is that war is on the decline, and perhaps civilization can actually see the end result and enjoy a period of world peace and prosperity over these next centuries.
This video examines the status of war, and cautions humanity to give a priority to peace and brotherhood. The timing has never been better. Peace is at hand, if we, the average family, truly want it.

Why the Church is in Decline - A Crisis in the Church
Why the Church is in Decline - A Crisis in the Church:
Studies are showing that religion and the practice of faith is falling dramatically across all the western countries, especially among the youth.
And this is very disconcerting. We are seeing what seems to be not just a decrease, but the collapse and demise of the most important of all essential elements for life. And this involves all religions, Methodist, Baptist, Anglican, and especially the Roman Catholic Religion, which is fundamental to all religions.
In one recent survey, it showed that in America, only 63% of Americans are Christian, and only about 40 percent regularly practice their faith in Church. And this is even worse for teenagers and our youth.
In fact, one survey just before the coronavirus lockdown, found that half of the country’s estimated 350,000 religious congregations had 65 or fewer people in attendance on any given weekend.
And this is true in virtually all the western countries, the European countries, US, Canada, Central American countries, even Brazil and Mexico – all formerly highly religious countries.
This video looks at the two factors underlying the decline in faith and the practice of religion. Those factors include persecution of the faithful, as well as modernism and progressivism, and the attempts by others in the sake of “Church Reform” to change Church teachings, Church Doctrine, Church Practices, and essentially to water down faith to make it more palatable to all, even though people are now not connecting with the True God and are leaving in droves.
In essence, to Renew the Church insiders in the Vatican are Reforming the Church, instead of Restoring the Church. And this is a major mistake and will only further lead to the dummying-down of Catholicism and the further erosion and decline of the One True Most Holy Church across the entire world.
KEYWORDS:

Marijuana and Heart Attacks - Cannabis and Cardiovascular Disease
Marijuana and Heart Attacks - Cannabis and Cardiovascular Disease:
Research has demonstrated a wide range of adverse effects from marijuana use. It’s common knowledge that marijuana use causes dependency and addiction. It causes a wide variety of emotional, mental and psychiatric illnesses. It causes a wide range of social problems and social and family dysfunction. And it causes a host of physical problems including Lung Damage, Cancer, Pregnancy complications, and unfortunately, one of the most overlooked diseases - Heart Disease.
This video presents the research on how cannabis affects the heart, and presents several studies which have now come out showing the negative impacts that marijuana use has on the heart. Marijuana use, now with greater frequency and quantity and with higher potency than ever before, no matter the delivery form, can stimulate the heart, promote vascular inflammation and oxidative stress, can elevate blood pressure, cause abnormal heart rhythms, cause an enlarged ventricular structure change, and like tobacco smoke can affect the inner lining of blood vessels.
Heart disease, stroke, heart attacks, arrhythmias, heart failure, cardiac arrest – and cardiopulmonary arrest are all found correlated with marijuana use – especially long term or excessive use.
It is clear that virtually all medical experts knowledgeable in this area agree on one thing – marijuana use places a person – young or old – at a greater risk of heart attacks and heart disease, and thus, they caution against any use of marijuana.

The Fall of Ancient Greece - A Lesson for Today
The Fall of Ancient Greece: A Lesson for Today
We’ve had several great civilizations over throughout history that have fallen into ruin, and it is important to know that history repeats itself, if we don’t learn from it.
One of the recognized greatest civilizations was ancient Greece. Greece mastered the art of politics. It had early medicine and the physician’s code of ethics, the Hippocratic oath. It had great armies, well trained and well disciplined. It had scholars and intellectuals, great thinkers. It had great schools, and temples, and artists and sculptors of the highest quality.
It was one of the most brilliant civilizations in world history, and the ancient Greeks laid many of the foundations for the whole of Western civilization. It produced radical innovations in a wide range of fields – philosophy, science, art, architecture, government and politics, and was a period of political, philosophical, artistic, and scientific achievements that formed a legacy with unparalleled influence on Western civilization.
But something happened in Ancient Greece, and it fell into ruin, something nefarious. This video looks at one aspect of the fall of one of the greatest civilizations, and asks, can it happen again today, and can it happen to THIS CIVILIZATION – to US?

The Coldest Church on Earth - The Catholic Ice Chapel
The Coldest Church on Earth - The Catholic Ice Chapel:
People of faith enjoy going to Mass every Sunday, and many go every day. But suppose your Church was the southernmost Church in the world. Suppose your Church was at the bottom of Antarctica, where temperatures can hit an amazing 100 degrees below zero.
Would you still be eager to rush to Church? The answer, surprisingly, is yes. Our Lady of the Snows, a Catholic Church only 700 miles from the South Pole, is the southernmost Church in the world. It is a Catholic Church, built in 1979, and enjoys a number of worshipers and parishioners, from their small community at the Belgrano II Base in Antarctica. This is a testimony to real faith.
