The Bizarre Gymnastics Of The Gaza Aid Pier May 2, 2024 ISRAEL and U.S. IMPERIALISM So let me get this straight. The U.S. wound up building its "floating pier" a few miles off the coast of Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid, but nobody will be able to ship the aid directly to the pier to get it to Gaza. Instead, the aid will be delivered to Cyprus via air or sea, and then from Cyprus the aid will be shipped 200 miles to the pier. From there the pallets of aid will be loaded onto smaller U.S. army boats, which will then carry the aid from the pier to a long causeway on Gaza's actual coast. Those pallets will then be carried from the boats to the shore via the causeway, possibly by British troops or possibly by Israeli troops depending on what source you're reading, and taken into Gaza by IDF troops after careful examination and approval of their contents. All to deliver some 90 to 150 truckloads worth of aid per day, which is far short of the 500 truckloads the UN says Gaza needs. And this is all being done because Israel isn't simply letting people drive an adequate amount of aid through the custom-built gates directly into Gaza. Since Washington doesn't want to exert any pressure on Israel to allow such a self-evident move, this immensely complicated and expensive dance is being performed to deliver a pathetically inadequate amount of aid instead. Aid that is only necessary because Israel has been destroying Gaza in its genocidal bombing campaign which it has been carrying out with total impunity. Cool. Very normal and cool. Opposing The Gaza Genocide While Supporting Joe Biden Is A Dishonest, Nonsensical Position April 29, 2024 ISRAEL and U.S. IMPERIALISM It's like saying "Sure my husband's a serial killer, but he's great with the kids." If someone said that to you, the only conclusion you could possibly come to is that they're really not all that bothered by the serial killing. Nobody who claims to oppose the Gaza genocide while simultaneously supporting Joe Biden actually opposes the Gaza genocide. They’re just saying what needs to be said to win approval in the political sector they want the approval of. They’re not taking a moral stand, they’re cultivating an image. They’re building a brand. One of many possible examples of this ridiculous posturing is Instagram progressive Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has called Israel’s atrocities in Gaza “an unfolding genocide” while continuing to support and defend the US president who’s currently backing that genocide, and who recently attended one of the pro-Palestine campus demonstrations which her president recently smeared as “antisemitic protests”. What AOC is doing here is attempting to straddle the impossible divide between what progressive Democrats claim their party is about and what it’s actually about in real life. She’s paying lip service to opposing injustice, supporting a ceasefire and siding with anti-genocide activists because that’s the sort of thing progressives are supposed to do, while simultaneously throwing her political support behind an administration that is facilitating injustice, keeping the genocide going, and smearing those who protest against it. You really couldn’t put together a more incoherent position if you tried. You can’t acknowledge that Israel is committing genocide without also acknowledging that the Biden administration has been actively participating in that genocide. If you acknowledge that Biden is guilty of genocide, then you are acknowledging that he is guilty of the most horrific crime a state leader can possibly commit short of initiating a nuclear exchange. It Is Everyone's Responsibility To Help Save Gaza April 29, 2024 ISRAEL and U.S. IMPERIALISM I think one of the reasons it took so long for student protests against the Gaza genocide to kick into high gear in the U.S. might be because it took some time for the collective realization to dawn that nobody in charge is interested in ending this nightmare. If Trump had won in 2020, it may not have taken so long for this to occur. Progressive-minded students would have understood from the beginning that the president is an immoral Israel-coddling imperialist, and we may have been seeing these campus protests that are freaking out the empire managers today a lot sooner. But because it was Biden and not Trump, there was this background assumption that surely the grownups in charge would take care of this thing. Surely they won’t let this go on for very long. Surely they’re just walking a careful diplomatic line while negotiating a ceasefire in the near term, as any government that cares one iota about human rights would be doing. It took half a year for that illusion to be dispelled. Half a year for people to really start going, “Oh shit. They’re really just going to keep these atrocities going. Nobody in charge cares about stopping this.” Half a year to see that nobody in the White House is going to save Gaza, none of their elected lawmakers on Capitol Hill are going to save Gaza, nobody anywhere in their government is going to save Gaza, not even the ordinary members of the public in the older generations are going to save Gaza. The Biden administration has reportedly canned its plans to issue sanctions on an extremist IDF unit for human rights violations in the occupied West Bank, following backlash from Israel and its high-powered supporters within the U.S. government. As Dr Assal Rad has highlighted on Twitter, this decision follows a sequence of events in which ProPublica revealed that Secretary of State Antony Blinken was ignoring his own State Department’s recommendation to sanction Israeli military units that have been credibly accused of human rights abuses like rape and torture, after which Blinken announced that he was preparing to issue sanctions after all. This announcement was met with outrage from Israel and its apologists, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu penning a furious screed calling the planned sanctions “the height of absurdity and a moral low”. Those planned sanctions are now canceled. Or to put it more simply, the Joe Biden administration had planned to sanction an IDF battalion, but it didn’t because Israel said no. The U.S. Doesn’t Support A Two-State Solution, It Just Supports Saying It Does April 24, 2024 ISRAEL and U.S. IMPERIALISM The United States doesn’t support a two-state solution, the U.S. only supports saying the U.S. supports a two-state solution. We know this because the U.S. just vetoed Palestine’s bid to become a full UN member state, after lobbying other countries to vote against the resolution, despite continually saying it supports the foundation of a Palestinian state. Washington’s words say one thing, but its actions say the opposite. This is because if the U.S. admitted its actual position, it would greatly damage its reputation on the world stage. What the U.S. actually wants is the same thing the Israelis want: for the Palestinians to go away, or lie down and submit completely, or otherwise stop being an inconvenience until they’re a forgotten footnote in the dustbin of history. But the U.S. can’t come right out and say this, so it pretends to support a two-state solution that Israel has spent years doing everything it can to ensure never happens. It’s a completely fictional resolution to a very real problem, but the alternative to supporting it is to admit you support continued apartheid, oppression, ethnic cleansing and genocide. Former CNN Anchor Chris Cuomo, Who Advocated for the Vaccines, Now Suffering from COVID Vaccine Injuries May 4, 2024 Former CNN anchor and vaccine pusher Chris Cuomo disclosed for the first time that he has been suffering from side effects he attributes to the COVID-19 vaccine. While Cuomo did not specify the exact nature of his symptoms, he expressed concern about ongoing abnormalities in his and others’ health. This admission came during an in-depth interview with nurse practitioner Sean Barcavage, who was also featured in a New York Times article discussing similar vaccine-related injuries. Barcavage shared his alarming experience with vaccine side effects that began just minutes after receiving his first dose in 2020. Symptoms included heart palpitations upon standing, numbness, and persistent tingling that quickly spread from his arm to his face and eyes, which got worse after his second dose. “We know that vaccines can have unintended consequences, a.k.a. side effects… But nobody’s really talking about it because they’re too afraid of blame, and they just want it to go away,” Cuomo said. “But the problem is people like Sean and me and millions of others who still have weird stuff with their bloodwork and their lives and their feelings physically are not going away,” Cuomo added. “As soon as I was injured — 15, 20 minutes into my first dose — I experienced numbness and tingling up and down my injected arm, which spread over the day to my face and my eyes. I consulted a neurologist who ran some tests and remarked, ‘Well, this is all new. We don’t know much about it, but the hospital is going to mandate it. You should get a second dose.’ Everything in my medical mind and in my bones was telling me, ‘No, if you have a reaction to something, don’t do it again,'” Barcavage said. “However, the pressure was immense. Then, three weeks later, I received a second dose, and after that, everything blew up. I went from being a healthy, 100% healthy, fully functioning nurse to a complete downward spiral of health. I developed a myriad of symptoms,” he added. Barcavage expressed his disappointment with the lack of support from various health agencies and from vaccine manufacturers. “I thought there would be people ready to help me after my injury,” he explained. “I reached out to political representatives, the NIH, the CDC, the FDA, but I received no answers. No one wanted to touch it.” With medical professionals in the U.S. offering no assistance, Barcavage took his quest international, sending blood samples to Germany, where he found scientists willing to aid his investigation. “I sent blood samples to Germany and connected with German scientists who were more willing to help than those in my own country. The tests showed I had developed several autoantibodies, some of which scientists believe are related to this positional tachycardia you mentioned, where my heart rate spikes every time I stand up.” Barcavage expressed his expectation of support from his pro-vaccine colleagues, who he believed would assist him in his time of need. Instead, he encountered a starkly different reality. “I thought my pro-vaccine colleagues who championed me would lift me up and help me. Instead, they turned around, dismissed, denied, and tried to censor and bury me,” Barcavage said. His situation, he argues, is exacerbated by the political implications of vaccine side effects. “They’re afraid that by showing my face, I’ll drive vaccine hesitancy. But what they don’t realize, and what I have come to realize, is that the censorship and concealment are actually fueling vaccine hesitancy,” he added. Barcavage critiqued the Biden regime’s handling of vaccine reactions, suggesting that a more transparent approach acknowledging the novel nature of vaccines and setting up dedicated support programs could have fostered public trust. “If the government had just said, ‘Hey, these are novel vaccines. There will be reactions. Let’s set up a program to handle them, establish a fund, and oblige the manufacturers to provide help or research,’ I think the citizens would have appreciated that.” Barcavage, along with many Americans, experienced censorship on major social platforms, where his posts were often tagged as misinformation. “When I tried to reach out online, platforms like Facebook and Instagram would tag my messages as misinformation. Yes, that’s right. I’m just a desperate person to whom something bad happened, and I’m reaching out and pleading for help,” he said. Cuomo, who was part of the censorship regime, admitted to Barcavage that he also suffering from side effects he attributes to the COVID-19 vaccine. “Sean, I can’t help you because I’m no clinician. I’m sick myself. But I’m working with people who are working on this, so I’ll make sure that we’re in touch right after the show, and I’ll help any way I can. You may be ahead of me. I’ll connect you with my clinicians, and maybe you can share different protocols and things that may help. But I will never stop reporting on this. All I’m doing is just beating the drum for a 9/11-style commission to figure out what worked and what didn’t and what questions need to be answered because it’s not over,” Cuomo said. The New York Times today reported that COVID-19 vaccine injuries exist and that vaccine-injured people have been ignored. Those findings resulted from a yearlong investigation into the issue, the paper said. After years of labeling commentary, articles and even search engine queries about vaccine injuries as misinformation, conspiracy theory, and “far-right,” lambasting social media companies for allowing vaccine injury stories on their platforms and even ridiculing a family whose children died from the vaccine, the Times conceded that “thousands” may have been injured by the COVID-19 vaccines. Under the headline, “Thousands Believe Covid Vaccines Harmed Them. Is Anyone Listening?” Times reporter Apoorva Mandavilli reported that the injuries aren’t unexpected because “all vaccines have at least occasional side effects.” The article featured several vaccine-injured people, reporting on their medical issues and the “disbelief and ambivalence” they encountered from doctors and the media. The Times’ coverage is “better late than never,” Children’s Health Defense (CHD) CEO Mary Holland told The Defender. “The mainstream media, including The New York Times, is finally — three-and-a-half years late — acknowledging the devastating harm from the COVID shots,” she said. “Their only redemption will be to cover this issue seriously now and to seek to hold those accountable who knowingly pushed extraordinarily dangerous, experimental products onto the whole global community,” Holland said. The feature story included interviews with vaccine-injured doctors, nurses and researchers, like Dr. Gregory Poland, editor-in-chief of Vaccine, who said he could not get his colleagues to investigate his injury. It also told the story of Michelle Zimmerman, Ph.D., a neuroscientist who experienced brain damage from the vaccine. Akiko Iwasaki, Ph.D., a vaccine researcher at Yale University, told the Times that people with post-vaccination injuries are “just completely ignored and dismissed and gaslighted.” Dr. Janet Woodcock, former director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, told the Times she believed that some of the vaccine-injured did in fact experience effects that were “serious” and “life-changing” beyond those officially recognized by federal agencies. “I’m disappointed in myself,” she added. “I did a lot of things I feel very good about, but this is one of the few things I feel I just didn’t bring it home.” The article also quoted other unnamed public health officials saying that the side effects — tinnitus, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, Bell’s palsy and others described in the article did not result from the vaccine. And it suggested that at least one of the injuries it profiled likely came from a “contaminated” vaccine batch. Federal agencies may not identify all safety issues associated with a vaccine through their surveillance, the article conceded. It also discussed the challenges faced by people seeking compensation through the federal Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program, which has compensated only 12 people for COVID-19 vaccine injuries since the pandemic began. On Instagram, users tried to share the film link and received a notice that there was a problem with the link, which isn’t the case. Other users were notified that the link to the film was removed because it goes against Instagram’s “Community Guidelines” due to one of the following transgressions: “spam”; “support or praise of terrorism, organized crime or hate groups”; “solicitation of sexual services”; and “sale of firearms and drugs.” The film is clearly none of the above.
