200 KG SQUAT PR! FINALLY!
Despite being perhaps a bit reckless with going for 205 Kg and failing, I managed to have JUST enough in the tank to hit this. A 5 kilo PR, and a HUGE Milestone! I'm super happy that I didn't blow my opportunity to hit this, haha.

205 Kg Squat miss. ALWAYS know how to fail!
I wasn't feeling at full strength/capacity, but my last rep with 195 Kg moved pretty well, so I thought I could YOLO it, and go for a huge PR. However, it was simply just a bit more than I could chew, at the time. I just fell out of position immediately, coming out of the bottom, and my upper back leaned too far forward, and it was donezo. But this is a good example on why you should ALWAYS know what to do when you fail, and to ALWAYS use the safeties in a power rack, when handling heavy weight. Be smart, and be safe, guys.

SQUAT MAX DAY
I could tell early on that I wasn't feeling my strongest during my warm-ups. My hips and legs just felt like jelly, and particularly felt a bit iffy and weaker, coming out of the bottom of the squat. This made it more difficult in staying more upright with the upper back as well. Still performed decently, all considered!

167.5 Kgs High-Bar Squat Heavy Single
As I am tapering the volume, but trying to keep the intensity high, I decided to simply go for a heavy single, instead of a triple. I was definitely feeling tired and weaker, so I thought this would be a good way to push for a bit of progression, while helping with easing on the fatigue. This actually moved pretty well, all things considered. I think I definitely could have done more; but given how I was feeling, this was fine for now. Hahaha.

172.5 Pin Squat, Update/Chat and Congratulations to Sephist!
As previously mentioned, I had to take about a week off of training, due to getting sick. However, I seemed to bounce back quite well! From here, I'll finish the rest of the final week of my program, with reduced volume; to start tapering, and redice fatigue. And then the following week will be greatly reduced volume, and some days of rest, and then I'll do some max tests! I also wanted to personally extend my congratulations to my buddy Sephist on YouTube, (And Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, and such) for his awesome performance with his recent meet! I had to use this song for my lift, as it has been stuck in my head since he did his massive 705 lbs squat Meet PR with it playing in rhe background 🤘🏻.

130 KGS PAUSED BENCH PRESS! NEW PR!
Once again, a HUGE Training PR, for my last Heavy Single of the Training Block. And this was done right after my big Squat PR, too! I was not even planning to hit this today, and was thinking of going for between 125-127.5 Kgs (127.5 would have been a PR, too). However, warmups were feeling very good, so I decided to warm up like I was ramping up for 130, with my last single being 122.5, Kgs, and then see I how I felt, from there. 122.5 moved pretty well, so I decided to go for broke, and challenge 130 again. The prescribed RPE for this single today was 9.5, and I think this may have been right on the money! Today totally exceeded my expectations! Especially since I have been feeling under the weather, recently. It feels good to have finally told 130 Kgs who's BOSS. Only 10 more kilos to go to finally hitting my big goal of 3 plates!

EASY 195 KGS SQUAT! NEW PR!
And this was just the final heavy single in my training program! It felt EASY, too. I honestly felt like I could have tripled it. I was SO tempted to slap on 200+ for a YOLO lift, and I am 110 % positive I could have done it. However, I decided to stick to the plan, and finish the program. 200 Kgs (and beyond) is all but in the bag, at this point. I'll hit it, in due time 🤘🏻
