Hi there guys.. Another on / off week with weather but we were able to continue with a few jobs. Mainly the setup of the new frame for the salon hatch. That was quite a big ask in this weather but we managed. Next up will be the glassing of the frame and then the faring / sanding/ painting combo we are all used to ..! Jessi

Hi there folks.. Another week has gone by with massive storms and heavy winds in the cape and zero boat work.. So here is a day trip we took to cape point This was a good time over the Easter week for me to switch off from boat work fatigue and go exploring with family. Jessi

Took some Easter time off and now back to work on the boat. been struggling a lot to get momentum and focus on just one thing as the fire interrupted the projects aboard and now we have several half completed items working their way into my nightmares. Hi there folks. A slow start to the week but some huge progress for me on board. Sanding and priming the seating area and main bulkhead between galley and salon, as well as making a decent start on the nav station area. From here its much of the same however next week we have some deck work to do also! That's weather dependent though as we are starting into the rainy season. Hi there guys... So we have started making real progress on the interior of the boat after the fire. Less about cleanup now and more about painting and restoring Aisling to something of her former self. Obviously this means that we had to make some concessions and had to remove stuff that before the fire we wanted to keep. Hi there folks. Its been a wierd week of seemingly making good progress while also not making any. However i suspect that thats going to be that way for a while, at least untill we hit a few milestones in the recovery and cleanup part of the job. Good news though is i havbe been given a camera and also got the Nikon working so videos can get back on shcedule again. Have a great week ! Jessi

Hi there everyone. So some sad news and the reason why uploads were missed. We got a call last week Tuesday morning at around 2am, and were told to come through to the marina ASAP as our boat caught fire. Obviously this was a shock to us and on arrival nothing could have prepaired us for what we found. I guess that we thaught that maybe a small fire started by some jokers did something on the deck...Perhaps an errant BBQ of an adjacent boat.? Unfortunatly it was not that simjple. Ill try to get into more detail as we uncover this over the next few weeks. As it stands the cause has been identified as an old desk lamp that we keep on inside the boat. this is coupled to shore power. Give us a comment or a like and sub if you can. Jessi

Hi guys.. This week we carry on with Porthole removal and begin on the Aft toerail work. This is the last remaining section before we move on to completing the deck work and starting on stantions. Also coming up next week is the draining on 1 of the deisel tanks. Thans bound to be a messy and grim job but needed.! Jessi

Hi everyone... As the year quickly draws to a close ive pushed super hard to complete the porthole job up front on the starboard side. So we have an extra long episode this week so please watch to the end and leave a like , and definitely comment something for us to chat about. Next week is christmas and also my birthday on the 26th... so i may not put out a video then but letrs see how the week goes. Hi there folks.. Anothyer week and work has progressed slowly with the portholes replacement. I had envisioned being done before the end of the year however its looking likie between finding rotten wood and bad weather, it likely wont happen. But ill push on as always.. ;-) Jessi

Hi guys... This week i make a dent on the Porthole work and started with just one to get the proccess down. It involved because i need to epoxy closed holes , then prime areas on both sides as well as top coat on both sides. with a days wait in between each step for drying time. Not an issue though because we can now move faster with an entire aide at a time. Jessi

Hi there everyone. Another great week of work behind us and huge visable progress on the boat. This makes me feel great because the day in and day out of slogging away at a seemingly endless list or todo's can get old real quick. This is the kind of work thats a culmination of huge effort and it payts off now. Im still preping an engine only video soon which should be of some intrest to the mechanicaly inclined, due out soon. Hi all. It was a jammed packed week on the boat with fixes and new work aplenty. Much needed start on the starboard side window and frame for the doghouse. This has been cracked and broken since we got her and its high time we started fixing that. Ill do the portside after in coming weeks but wanted to get the process right before committing to more cost before knowing what i needed. also started on prep and sanding of the deck again to get that job off my list. second coat on starboard side and 1st coat on port side. Hi all.. Its been a mix bag this week also.. Lots of just inspecting new areas and planning for future work thats needed. we check out the water tanks, the main bilge and engine bilge. remove more sundry cables as well as inspect the mast head lights. Next wee will be more actual doing of work. ;-) Not that we didnt get a lot accomplished this week. Jessi

Hey there everyone. This week i can finaly begin with a major project.. Opening up the floor in the galley to access the main bilge. With this opened i can start with water , pumps, electrical and plumbing work. Its one of those jobs that just needs to be done to kick off another set of jobs thats previously been blocked by this. Hi all. This week i am urgently trying to complete the solar brackets and final setup of the panels before the heavy winds begin.. I've just about done that so ill be able to tick off another task from my to do list and thats always a bonus. Jessi

Evening Guys... A bonus video for you all today.. Mistress has been quietly in the background sitting and begging for some attention. So ive decided to sort out a few things with her and get her sailing again for this season in the bay while also putting her up for sale. Its been a great ride and we have worked hard to rescue this little boat and im quite sad to let her go. However if i consider how she used to look and that very likely she would have been chopped up had we not intervened , making her a workiing sailable boat again has been only a pleasure. Now its someone elses turn to to enjoy her. cheers guys enjoy... Jessi

Hi guys.. Its been a mad and crazy busy time recently both personal and on the boat. But im glad to say im back at iut and will continue my usual upload routine.
