Practice doesn't have to be pretty or fancy. If you live in an area known for violence and kidnapping, chances are you will always be on alert. This is common is South America and other parts of the world. If she seems prepared it’s because she has been conditioned to spot trouble and react appropriately. Good on her for staying strapped, I strongly recommend women to be armed and prepared.
