Asking Jesus to forgive all of your sins.
Christian apologist Matt Slick, founder, and president of the Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry poses a serious question to Roman Catholic Church members. Could you ask Jesus to forgive all of your sins? If you ask Him, will He do it? Pray about this and watch the video. We are not attacking the membership. We love you and pray earnestly that you will wake up and seek Jesus alone for the forgiveness of sins and trust ONLY in Him for the salvation of your souls. The Roman Catholic Church can NOT forgive your sins, nor can "IT" save you.

Can we affect salvation through prayer?
Christian apologist Matt Slick, founder and president of the Christian Apologetics & Research, hosts a live radio show every weekday. The show invites callers to ask questions they have about Christianity and many other topics related to it. Recently, a caller asked Matt how to pray for the unsaved if election is true. He explained that election means that God has chosen some people to be saved, and predestination means that he did so before the creation of the world. He said that we cannot know who is elect and who is not, and that some people who are not saved now may become saved later. It's ok to pray for God to elect someone.
God is Good.
James 5:16 NASB95 - Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Replacing Jesus with the Catholic Church??
Christian Apologist Matt Slick, founder, and president of the Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry looks at the claims made by the Roman Catholic Church to possess all authority and power and compares the claims to clear Scripture. By doing so, they are in fact attempting usurp the King of Glory and Head of the Christian Church. Has the Roman Catholic Church replaced Jesus?
Don't trust in the Catholic Church for your salvation. Trust in Jesus Christ alone.

Does Roman Catholicism Promote Magic?
Christian Apologist Matt Slick examines the use of objects and rituals by the Roman Catholic Church. Talisman, Medals, Scapulars, and 3rd Class relics represent a few of the objects. There is NOTHING biblical about the use of anything like this. It's not proper. You don't need objects or ceremonies, You need Jesus.

Matt Slick begins a new series in the One Minute collection for devotionals. In this short, we are reminded of our calling.
Too often people want God on their own terms. This is not how God planned our existence. You must pick up your cross and follow him. Your comfort is not the point.

Does Roman Catholic Chruch Teach people to look to Mary? CCC 2677
Matt Slick digs into CCC Paragraph 2677 to dicsuss the problem with the way Roman Catholicism elevates Mary. She is presented as equal to, if not above Jesus. They do this by offering her prayer and worship to her that no human deserves. ALL glory, all prayer and all worship belong to God alone.
Revelation 18:4-5 NASB95 - 4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Did Mary crush the head of serpent?
In this video Matt Slick exposes another false teaching of the Roman Catholic church. In Pope Pius IX's Ineffabilis Deus (Defining the Immaculate Conception), he declared that Mary crushed the head of the serpent. This is NOT scriptural!
See Genesis 3:14-15 NASB95. Simply reading the text with the proper pronouns, you can clearly see that only Jesus crushed the head of Satan. Mary is not addressed in any way outside of being a woman later included in the curse.
Mary was a blessed woman to have been chosen by God to carry Jesus. Anything more being attributed to her is false. All your faith, hope and love should be aimed at God alone.

Works won't save you! Trust in Jesus alone!
In this video, Matt Slick addresses the false assertion that "Works" can save you. By itself or paired with faith, it simply isn't enough. Trust in the finished work on the cross is the path to salvation.
Many people in false religions teach that salvation and forgiveness of sins are obtained by faith and good works. Many appeal to Scripture to support this idea. But, when these verses are examined in context, they do not teach that works of any kind save us. In fact, the Bible clearly teaches that were saved without the works of the law. This is because nobody can keep the Law perfectly. God requires holiness (1 Pet. 1:16), nothing less.
God does not want a faith that is empty and hypocritical. James 2 is talking about those who “say” that they have faith but have no "works". Therefore, people cannot tell if they are true believers or not, because there is no fruit. That kind of faith is useless and is not saving faith. True faith results in true works. But it is not works that bring faith.

Did Jesus commit suicide?

The Now and the Not Yet
Matt Slick was asked to explain the Now and the Not Yet on his live radio show.
The "Now and the Not Yet" is a theological concept that helps us understand the relationship between the atonement of Christ and its application to His people. The atonement is the act of God in which He reconciled sinful humanity to Himself through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. The atonement was accomplished in history, when Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead. However, the benefits of the atonement are not fully realized by believers until they are glorified in heaven. Therefore, we live in a tension between the "now" and the "not yet". We are already justified, adopted, sanctified, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, but we are not yet glorified, resurrected, or free from sin and suffering. The "Now and the Not Yet" helps us to appreciate what God has done for us in Christ, and to hope for what He will do for us in the future.
