Trusting God w/ Destyn Alberts
Trusting God is deceptively simple - obey Him even when what He's saying doesn't make sense. When He says things that challenge our sensibilities we find that trust is much more challenging. Join me today I speak with my friend, Destyn Alberts, about the importance of trusting God & things to keep in mind during the journey.

If The World Hates You
Much of our culture in America seems to be apathetic toward faith unless that faith is Christianity. It seems there's a special place of disdain for followers of Jesus that's only grown over the last thirty years regardless of what's happening in the country at large. Is it a shock that after forcing God out we reap the "blessings" (also known as consequences) of choosing to reject God? Just because the choice can be made doesn't mean it's a good choice.

When He Saw Jerusalem
Closing out our time examining what and how Jesus saw, we explore His heart when He saw Jerusalem, the capital of His chosen people. Does our heart resemble Christ's? Are we moved to intercession for those who are rejecting the good news or simply raging against them? Is there anything transformational or refreshing about us, or have we acclimated to room temperature? Stay tuned for this & more on the podcast today.

What Do You Want Me To Do For You
Jesus asks this question of His disciples and the blind man who come to Him in Mark 10. What we may fail to consider in the moment is that what we ask for and the way we ask say more about our relationship with God than we may care to admit. What do we really want? Is it what God wants? Is it what He wants for us? Stay tuned for more.

When He Saw - Their Faith
While not the only thing Jesus responds to in scripture, faith/trust is something we see Jesus respond to consistently in the Gospels. When Jesus saw people approach Him with trust that God would meet their needs through Him, He was moved

When He Saw - The Crowds
Do we have the vision of Christ? When He saw the crowds, that they were harassed & helpless like sheep without a shepherd, Jesus had compassion on them. How do we respond? The answer may reveal more about us than we care to admit.

Consider the fact that God places His Spirit in us when we trust in Jesus. He places a precious, vast treasure in these jars of clay we call bodies!

Honoring Dr Michael S Heiser
Originally posted on Feb. 20th, 2023, we take time to honor the life and ministry of Dr Michael S Heiser during the podcast. He clarified many questions I had regarding the cultural context of scripture, application of some scripture today, and some of the more fun head-scratchers he refers to in his book 'I Dare You Not to Bore Me with the Bible'. If you've never read or listened to anything from Dr. Heiser, I strongly encourage you to pick up his book, 'The Unseen Realm', or it's popular level counterpart 'Supernatural'.
