The cardboard telescope
It is amazing what you can make with cardboard. This telescope doesn't really work as a telescope but it looks good. And it is a copy of the telescope I have wanted all my life. I will get one and this replica is how I start the visualizing of the goal.
What can you make with cardboard? Just about anything!!

Upon finding one statue in Renaissance Florence
Humanity is a tapestry of people. Each doing his or her part in a contribution to the whole. When we think of the Renaissance we think of the greats like Michelangelo, DaVinci, and Galileo. But it took many people to make the Renaissance happen. Some even gave their lives for it.

A Visit inside the Vatican Museum in Rome - With four insights
On my pilgrimage in Europe I spent the first three days in Rome. And of course I visited the Vatican Museum which includes the Sistine chapel.
In this video I show you lots of pictures and talk about some revealing insights I had during my visit there.
All of these pictures and many more of Rome and the Vatican will be made available to you in an upcoming post.
Interesting though, we venture into the Sistine Chapel in this video but they don't allow any pictures of vids in there so I had to get some from Wikipedia. You will see.
Thank you for your kind support!
-Will

Will Chases Bernini around Rome
You probably have heard of DaVinci, Michelangelo and Galileo. But have you heard of Bernini? He was another one of those Geniuses that left an indelible mark on Italy and in particular Rome. He was the genesis of Baroque architecture and sculpture. In this video Will travels around Rome and we look at some of Bernini's work.

Ten Weeks in Europe and a 500 mile Walk
I recently returned from a profoundly beautiful (and brutal) trip to Europe. I spent ten weeks there and visited Italy, France, and Spain. I did all the usual tourist stuff including Rome, Florence, Carcassone, Bayonne, Lourdes and more.
I also walked a 500 mile pilgrimage right across the whole country of Spain. That pilgrimage is called "The Camino Frances".
In this video I tell you a little bit about it, show you some pictures and some video footage.

Carve a Pilgrimage Scallop Shell for the Camino de Santiago
For more than a thousand years pilgrims have been walking the way of saint James in Spain. And as proof of their pilgrimage they displayed a scallop shell on their packs.
I am going on this pilgrimage and rather than buying a scallop shell I thought it would be unique and different to carve a shell.
In this video I talk about the wonderful history of the pilgrimage and the scallop shell and I show you how to carve one out of wood.
Buen Camino!

Make the Highlander Conor McLeod Broadsword - It's wicked cool!
This is a tutorial that shows you step-by-step how to make the Highlander Conor McLeod Broadsword out of foamboard; very cheaply and easily with just a few materials.
***The template for this project is on my website here:
https://www.stormthecastle.com/how-to-make-a/make-the-highlander-mcleod-sword.htm
-Two sheets of 20x30 foamboard (that's the standard size)
-Paint and paintbrush
-hobby knife to cut the foamboard
-pencil and marker
In this video I recommend Elmer's foamboard. You can get it on amazon through this affiliate link here:https://amzn.to/3zaSbi7
(But it is expensive on amazon. You can get it at Walmart a lot cheaper.)
Regular foamboard sheets are a dollar each at Walmart. The Elmer's foamboard is about four dollars a sheet at Walmart.

24 miles in two days - and two insights
I have two insights for you when it comes to challenges and journeys in your life. This is inspired by the last two days where I have walked 12 miles each day in preparation for an upcoming pilgrimage across three countries in Europe.
The actual pilgrimage will be on the Way of Saint James in Spain.
It is a 500 mile walk.
The mental aspect of big adventure is just as important as the physical aspect.
