Can Eating Red Meat Really Cause Diabetes? Debunking the Harvard Study
The problem with ridiculous headlines like this is the majority of people believe them without asking any questions
They carry on with their oblivious lives believing red meat really causes diabetes because “study said so”
But if you actually look at the study, and it really doesn't take long, it's very easy to see how ridiculous their claim is
Like so many studies it is based on questionnaires where people are required to remember up to a years worth of foods they ate accurately
I encourage you to give it a go and see how accurate you can be
Then there's the fact that junk food, pizza, lasagne and sandwiches are classed as “red meat” due to the fact that they may contain a minute amount of red meat
Does it take into account the junk food that comes with the red meat?
Of course it doesn't
Is it possible that the burger bun, the fries, the fizzy drink, the sauces, the seed oils, the pizza base, the pasta and the bread might have some effect on the results?
If you apply common sense then yes it obviously would
Sadly these researchers either lack common sense or deliberately wanted to manipulate their results as they made no effort to even acknowledge this fact
I’m betting on the second option
Do yourself a favour
If you don't have time to properly read a nutritional study
Just ignore it
