How to Use a Capsule Filling Machine: Grow Herbs, Buy Powders in Bulk and Capsulize!
Grow your own herbs, or buy powders, such as cinnamon and fill your own capsules. I grow Moringa then grind the leaves in a coffee bean grinder. According to https://nutritionfacts.org/questions/the-health-benefits-of-moringa/, "If you go to the USDA nutrient database, and enter a more doable dose, about one tablespoon, a serving of moringa powder has: as much vitamin A as a quarter of one baby carrot as much vitamin C as one one-hundredth of an orange the calcium of half a cup of milk the potassium of a quarter of one banana the iron of a quarter cup of spinach the protein of a third of a container of yogurt."

Original Song & Beautiful Woodland Sunrise. "Lord I Want Your Hand", Original Song by Nancy Moral
"Lord, I want your hand, I know you'll take me home. I want to walk the rough places with you as I journey through this land 'till I get home. So take my hand, and deliver me from the snare of the trapper, the deep pit that I don't see....!" Written and performed by Nancy Moral.

Best Starter Homeschool Curricula! High Quality, Easy, Affordable and Biblically Based!
The School of Tomorrow Pace books are high quality, easy to use and affordable. They are packed with scripture and character building messages. Paces were created over 3 decades ago and have a Biblical foundation for life and learning for all denominations that respect the Bible as the Word of God. I look inside 3 different subjects in the Paces and show you how to use the Paces. I also go over using the scope and sequence book for planning and diagnostic placement testing to start your child off at the right level. You can literally start in a few days with this high quality curricula that requires very little planning and organization on your part. The organizational structure is built in the workbooks as you follow along. I love these workbooks! I homeschooled my 3 children for all 12 grade levels using a combination the Paces and other curricula! This is a great starter curricula and very useful for seasoned homeschoolers that want to change-up a subject or two and do something different. It’s actually excellent for families that travel a lot also because you need only bring the workbooks and answer keys. The company is well established and has a lot of extra supplies, multi-media options and elective material as well. By far, the best starter curricula that is high quality, easy to use and very affordable.

"Hock Moths" on Blueberry Bushes, How Farming Gives Life Lessons, What is Un-certified Organic
Noah looks for “hock moths” – “a wormy caterpillar like feller”. They eat the leaves of the blueberry plants starting at the bottom. “Slow is smooth, smooth is fast” is Noah’s motto as he hunts down the hock moths! Organically grown blueberries require you to hand pick them off! Noah describes loving farming because it’s very rewarding, and he finds so many valuable life lessons demonstrated in farming. He talks about several of these life lessons. Noah shows you what is believed to be over 100 year old oak trees amongst the rows, and rows of blueberry bushes and suggests you “simply down” to get your heart right, and that for him being on the farm is about as good as being on stage or writing music. (See Noah’s music website, knowah.net). He shares the point that some companies will use poison to get profit and that karma comes is many ways, and that we must adapt to the natural order that our Creator has established. Noah introduces “Ole Pals Plants and Tinctures” to you. He and his childhood best friend and “ole pal”, David are establishing this new business now. Noah compares Ole Pal’s un-certified organic approach to “certified organic” and gives a surprising fact about the government’s approach to certifying a field as organic when it’s right next to a field that uses pesticides. A shocking fact indeed! So, which is better: un-certified organic or certified organic? What makes them different from each other? Noah also dispels the misconception about criticisms against country folk which claim they are dumb, isolated, and even racists. Noah points out that the critics are against country living because country living is the natural way to live and country folks value hard work and a person’s character; but they would rather people tune into and be dependent on all the (synthetic) things cities have to offer. “Get back to the land” to find your peace.

10 Things You Must Do If You Are a Homesteader
I review the top 10 things I believe you must be doing if you are planning to be a homesteader. We need to learn how to become self-sufficient so we can provide for ourselves and our families when hard times come. Many decades ago, a large portion of America practiced an agrarian lifestyle. Our grand-parents knew how to grow a garden, butcher, can(preserve) food; and we must try to relearn and retain these skills. So, if you want to be a homesteader, or are planning to learn how to be a homesteader in the near future, here are my top 10 Must-Dos if you want to consider yourself a true homesteader!

Homesteading - Embrace Weeds, Respect Nature, A very Important Tree I grow. God Provides!
I start the video with an old song I sing for you on acoustic guitar about our Weapon of Prayer allowing us to be of service! It’s Mid May in the Garden. My strawberry patch has given me zip lock bags full of great strawberries. I explain how they got so prolific. My Lemon Balm is growing for tinctures and tea, and my 2 types of squash are growing runners which I am training to run straight on the ground. I show you the male and female flowers and when they actually come out on squash plants. I explain when your broccoli will become bitter, and how the Moringa tree, called the miracle tree is full of vitamins, minerals and protein. I emphasize what onions love, and show you a trick to find the hard to see green peas when they are on the vine and need to be picked. Also, meet one of my hunters that keep the rats, mice, squirrels and snakes away! I describe the type and cost of my trellises made of cattle panels. I explain why my weeds are welcome! And I share a few examples of how God specifically uses nature to show his provision and teach us when we grow in character and strength. Also, I share the one secret of when to grow anything. In my opener, I sing you an old hymn called Weapon of Prayer I produced in my home studio. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

Putting on my Farm Pouch: All the Little Tools I Need While Walking Around My Property
I was sitting on a bench to watch one of my sheep get ready to give birth, and I thought I'd do a quick video about my pouch. After all, I was sitting down, cleaning it out while waiting to see if Lucy (my sheep) was going to give birth. Every time I leave my house to walk around my property and work I put on my pouch...no exceptions. As the Title says, it has all the Little Tools I Need including my gun.

I Use to Be a Full-time Musician. Why I stopped and Why I'm Playing Again
I share what happened to make me stop playing music - guitar and singing and writing, mainly contemporary Christian songs. Though I could have probably made a living at it, I was not happy with the personal attention and the feelings of "fame". These experiences were not what I wanted out of my music! In this video I explain how these experiences shut me down, and how I recently have come to the realization of what I really want out of my music and if I keep this in focus, I can play again and enjoy it! Thanks for listening and you can listen to my music on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/album/4hdp56qxEa5kGHjAmh1R5s

Great Grampa Whipple's Secret Recipe: Great Norther Bean Soup
Great Grampa Whipple's Secret Recipe of Great Northern Bean Soup is an easy one-pot recipe done in a crock pot. It's so tasty and healthy. Two other tips I did not include, sometimes I add a dab of butter for flavor, and use a fork to mash up the beans at the end to make the soup thicker and add salt and pepper to taste.
Family recipes are such a treasure. I also highlight our heirloom purple Cherokee tomato seeds available on our Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/familytreehomeschool
Written ingredients are:
1 pound great northern beans
1-3 cups of meat (ham hocks, bacon strips - your choice)
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1 onion and 4 cloves of garlic lightly saute ed, but not browned
* Simmer in a small crock pot 3/4 full of water for 3-4 hours.
* In last 1/2 hour or so, add a chopped tomato and 1 - 2 tsp. instant coffee.
Optional tips that I do:
Add a dab of butter for flavor, and use a fork to mash up the beans at the end to make the soup thicker and add salt and pepper to taste.
Keep your family close and treasure the shared memories that make you a family!

Matthew 10, Matthew 25, Psalms 32, Psalms 34, Romans 1, Isaiah 59. We see what the Bible has to say about peace. We must have faith and obey the Word of the Lord to have perfect peace. You can find peace by obeying what these scriptures show to do, think, practice and adopt as a way of life. It's the only way to have real, lasting peace.

Top 10 Essential Items You Can Make at Home.... Easy and Free!!
Watch an overview of how I make the most commonly used, basic items at home....easy and free including bleach, laundry detergent, sponges, shampoo and rinse, gnat and mosquito repellent, face powder, toothpaste (powder), Italian herb mix and silver water (natural antibiotic). There are so many videos on how to make these things, so I didn't want to just make another version of those. I thought the overall summary may be more helpful! I leave the details of the how-to steps for you to research yourself, but I wanted to educate you on all the possibilities! God provides all the basic ingredients, and the history is there of our grand parents and their grand parents as to how they did things. Did you know for example that you can preserve fresh eggs for one or more years by putting them in a mixture of one ounce of lime in a gallon of water? This was commonly done many, many years ago. We have a lot we can learn, but how it applies to our daily lives is the point. The times we are in and the times I believe are coming will be difficult, but we can make the road a little easier if we learn and apply these old-fashion practices. Get Ready! Stay Tuned!

Evolution of a Farm Part 2 - For You, Family, Friends and Especially Grand-Children
Six months ago in the spring, I shared early spring season activities on our little farmstead. Did you see the unique greenhouse made of sliding glass doors, potted vegetables, goats, sheep, outdoor cookhouse, shade house, worm farm and more? I am especially fond of my books on how-to create and manage a homestead, grow plants, and research medicinal recipes and more. I make it a point to collect all the flyers, pamphlets and books that I can on the oldest and/or the most reliable methods for farming and homemaking; and I apply and practice what I show you on my videos. This video is a follow up on how the farmsteading chores and goals went over the past 6 months. Did I accomplish-what-I-set-out-to-do; and what spiritual encouragement and personal announcements do I have?! I love sharing "me" with you, my family, friends and especially my grand-children if I can be of any help and encouragement!

Putting Connectors on Cable Ends
You need to learn many small trades managing a farmstead, so in this video I show you how I, a novice learned to put connectors on the ends of my Cat 6 cable lines in order to install surveillance cameras. The cables needed to connect the cameras to Power Extenders buried directly in the ground and then ultimately connected to our NVR (Network Video Recorder). I learned a lot including some little industry tricks and completed the task! I want to share what I learned with you.

Evolution of a Farm - Spring Update 2021 Dedicated to Grandchildren
This tour shows the inner workings of how I think about the progress of the farm. I present the growing "infrastructure", though not in the form of buildings - but rather the growing infrastructure of nature and purpose. Learn the progress of thought and purpose to become self-sufficient, be encouraged in your relationship with your creator, our Father in heaven as you give Him all glory and honor as we remain grateful to Him for His Love and provisions. See before and after video of the evolution of our little farm dedicated to the grandchildren. It's spring 2021. With a prayer and a scripture, I take a look at my farm book library and some items in the kitchen to get ready for planting. We check out the shade house and greenhouse before and after spring work. We look at the huge strawberries and 3 other gardens with herbs, carrots, pineapples, moringa, banana, potatoes, cabbage, collards, sweet potatoes and more. Life is good in the garden, and this little farm is for the children and grandchildren to learn from, enjoy and be sustained.
