Update on yard progress. Got a little done.

First yard vlog of the year. Yard and garden are a mess, but I did get started on some stuff.

This is our new rescue dog Baby. We adopted her on Tuesday and today is Friday. She comes from a hoarder situation and is not used to human contact. Her foster mom had her for about a month before we adopted her. A big thank you to Amber for gifting a pack of these squeaky emoji toys that she knew Baby liked. We finally discovered for ourselves how much she likes them.

This will be the last update of the season. Just a short walk thru the backyard.

Just a quick video of birds getting in through the chicken wire of our garden beds.

A little late getting this up, but here it is. Finally had the camera pointed nicely at the pond.

Tried out different positions for the camera. First was a bit too close. Second was OK, but could be better. Third was awful, as the camera was knocked forward and was pointed down too far. Salvaged what I could from that one, ha ha. Saw more variety of birds this time.

Short update. Berry picking is about done. Picking tomatoes and beans now. Started on sidewalk project.

New fountain put in the "pond" and the critters seem to be ok with it. Never expected the robins to be so attracted to the area, but they seem to think they own the place!

Put together some videos taken by my trail cam. Note that the time/date was wrong - forgot to set after changing batteries - doh. The fountain has died, and I am unable to get it going again. Have since bought a different one which will be shown in future videos, Lord willing.

Update to what is going on in backyard.

Lilies are now blooming. Have a new plant that I did not plant. And some new plants that I did plant.

We added to our yard family! Little changes here and there, getting us to where we hope to be.

We have Canadian fire smoke today. As I upload this it is clearing a bit, so hopefully I can go out and do some work. Only showing the back yard today as nothing has changed in front.

Finally taking the time for another update. Much has changed! Slowly making the yard our own since moving up here last year.

I did vlogs on my YouTube channel last year when we moved up here. Decided to continue this year, but on Rumble instead. Just walking thru the back and front, talking about our plans and giving updates.

I moved the camera to our birch tree to focus on the bird feeder area (and not include our neighbors). I have not refilled any of the feeders, and the deer keep coming back to check. APEMAN H80 Wildlife Camera

We had 4 squirrels in our front yard just playing around and looking for food.

Just a quick video of a yellow bellied sapsucker I saw out the front window enjoying sap from our maple tree.

Noticed that bird seed was disappearing from the top part of one of our bird feeders overnight. Suspected deer hopped the fence....and I was right. We bought a trailcam to confirm.
