This video shows storm chaser Reed Timmer chasing a major tornado outbreak in the middle of the night in the Florida Panhandle. An EF2 tornado made landfall very near my location at Santa Rosa Beach, causing a 106 mph wind gust to be measured by the automated mesonet station there. If I positioned 0.25 mile to the west, it would have been a direct tornado intercept. 24 tornadoes have been confirmed from this outbreak, including an EF3 tornado that came ashore at Panama City Beach

Storm chasers Reed Timmer and Jony Hallen intercepted a funnel cloud in Dana Point, California and a severe thunderstorm warning with tornado possible tag in Downtown Los Angeles! This was on day 4 of the category 5 atmospheric river event that clobbered parts of central and southern California with record-breaking rainfall. UCLA campus measured 12.67 inches of rainfall in a 24 hour period. This video concludes our coverage of this historic weather event. We wonder if an ARKstorm will happen in our lifetimes. An arkstorm is an atmospheric river event that persists for weeks, overwhelming all flood control mechanisms.
