Shortly after I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was surprised at how much I felt like I was being followed around by a dark cloud. That was something I had never experienced before.
I was even more surprised to being diagnosed with clinical depression soon after that. It turns out that getting a life-threatening diagnosis causes most people to be depressed—it's totally normal!
My longtime counselor and life coach Cinthia Hiett worked with me through that season to make sense of it all. She had some tremendously great advice that she gave me, and I asked her to share it with you here. I hope you find it helpful!
