I had already planned to perform this song when I learned that a friend overseas (Lynn Mc Donald) had recently lost her beloved daughter. Daisy suffered from a highly debilitating disorder called Rett Syndrome. I asked Lynn's permission to dedicate the song to her and her family, so she supplied the photos you see in the video.

Most recognize this children's rote tune. Some may also know that it was one of the theme songs for The Three Stooges, seen here in footage from "Disorder in the Court" (1936), now in the public domain. If you remember the name of the other theme song that they used, please comment below.

Written by the married Vaudeville team of Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth. It appears to have originally been published in 1908. I was inspired to record this song after watching a performance of it by Laurel & Hardy.
