Derrick Logozzo claims 15-20 Richland students transferring with over a million dollars over 2 years in scholarships at 4 year schools including Berklee and Baylor University.....
The 5 schools where most of the students are actually going to transfer to and cost of attendance follws. The Berklee student got a $30,000.00 a year renewable reward. Logozzo's number of 15 - 20 students getting $25,000.00 - $33,333.33 a year for two years (Junior and Senior years) is quite a tall tale. That means most of the students save the Baylor student got in excess of a full ride at their respective Texas colleges. That would be history making and all over the Richland Media and all the many local news stations in DFW. Let's have the documentation on this earth shattering record making event at little ol' Richland!
Many of these students have been there full-time for 3-4 years or more and all are way over hours. 100-161 is the norm for Derrick Logozzo's and Melissa Logan's predatory advising. At 150 hours (all Richland hours count) these students will be charged out of state / higher tuition which financial aid does not cover at Texas Universities. At 180 hours they completely exhaust their financial aid everywhere.
Many of these students will never complete their Bachelor's we know from watching the abysmal numbers of the previous years. About a dozen graduate Richland and a few more loaded down with hours will transfer. About 5 students a year will go on to complete a Bachelor's degree of the 400-600 in the Richland Music program at any given time. How are students of this caliber that are way over hours getting huge scholarships when most are at Texas universities close by that don't offer many if any scholarships in that range?
Again, why are these students and their scholarships not identified? The actual Bachelor's degree holders that started at Richland can be counted on one's fingers for every recent year. That is some incredible math $500,000 (half of a million) for Junior year evenly split between these 20 alleged students = $25,000.00 per student. That half million for this coming school year averaged out between 15 students is $33,333.33 per student. I demand written documentation on these incredible never before seen scholarships!
The Texas colleges Richland students transfer to giving out 30 grand scholarships like Halloween candy and it is a secret????

Dallas College Richland Campus Music Advisors Put Students Into Excess Hours = Out of State Tuition
Dallas College Richland Campus Music Advisors, Derrick Logozzo & Melissa Logan, put students into 100-161 credit hours. Students spend 3-5 full-time years in what is supposed to be a 2 year junior college program. An Associate's Degree is only 60 credit hours. Only 66 hours will transfer. All attempted credit hours count. At 150 hours out of state tuition (which financial aid does not cover) is charged. At 90 credit hours financial aid ends at Dallas College. At 180 hours financial aid ends.
Very few students graduate with an Associate's Degree or transfer. Of those that do transfer only a tiny fraction complete a Bachelor's Degree. Many students are brought into the program that do not have the music background and skills to succeed. The dirty advisors also lure students in with programs like Audio Engineering and Music Production that don't exist on campus. Dozens of hours of music nonsense will not lead to gainful employment.
The Richland Campus has the best adjunct faculty available. The predatory advisors using students to fill their music chairs for $$$$$$$ have destroyed the program and ended the academic careers of so many trusting students.
This music program is a bloodbath for the students, paying parents and taxpayers.
