This baler had a very short life with an owner who did not understand or appreciate it. A lot of married people can relate, right? Anyway, machinery fixes easier than people and this machine has been introduced to TLC and is back in the swing at Three Meadows Ranch!

I bought this rake in a state of serious deferred maintenance. Sixty nine rake tines were missing and there was major structural breaks that required creative solutions. First time in the field, it works like it did in the dealer promo 25yrs ago. Raking on Three Meadows ranch, not ready to retire!

I should have just junked it and called it a learning experience, but after doing a total rebuild on the cutter this old machine is resurrected! So, 26 gears, 26 bearings, 3 u-joints, 1 - $2,000 clutch and days of welding, we are making hay at the Three Meadows Ranch!

Uphill gates are not new but this is the first one that does not leave the bottom of the gate intruding on the driveway. It is done by creating hinges that correct in two directions. First to kick out towards the gate height needed to adjust for the hill. Second to correct back towards the hinging post to keep the gate vertical when open.
