Yelawolf - Overcoming the Odds and Becoming an Inspiration - The Ed Clay Show Ep. 24
Yelawolf is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer born in Gadsden, AL and raised in Antioch, TN who has developed a cult-like following since releasing his first album in 2005. His music and his movement "Slumerican" encapsulate what he calls "the people who are the core of America."
Ed Clay and Yelawolf sit down to talk about the long journey to stardom for Yelawolf from trailer parks to selling out stages. Yelawolf was nearly 30 years old before he got his first record deal and he shares how persistence and faith in the long run is necessary if someone wants to be successful. Meeting Eminem and signing to Shady Records was a huge milestone in Wolf's journey and listeners get to hear some of the behind the scenes stories as to how that came to fruition.
Overcoming adversity and learning to block out the haters is a reoccurring theme in Wolf's journey from the trenches to where he is now. We even take a deep dive into Yelawolf's mind and hear some of his perspectives on things like the spiritual world, karma, psychedelics, and introspection. Wolf shares how doing things that scare him spark creativity and inspiration and how he takes fear head-on.
Yelawolf's new double-album War Story drops June 7th and, in Wolf's words, is "by far my best hip-hop project." Following Wolf's 2022 Rock album Sometimes Y, War Story reunites the team that produced Love Story from 2015 and brings Slumerican fans back to the hip-hop roots that Yelawolf has cultivated over the years.

Ian Heinisch - International Fugitive to UFC Fighter - The Ed Clay Show Ep. 23
On this episode of The Ed Clay Show, Ed sits down with Ian Heinisch who shares one of the craziest life stories you've ever heard!
Ian's troubled past starts at a young age with drug addiction. After getting arrested for drug dealing he would flee the US and become an international fugitive on the run. Bouncing around Europe would eventually lead him to become involved in an international drug smuggling operation. After narrowly escaping the authorities he was eventually arrested and put behind bars in a Spanish prison. There he learned traditional Spanish wrestling, how to survive prison life, and even found himself creating an MMA program for inmates.
After his release in Spain, he would come back to America only to be arrested again and put behind bars in Rikers Island, considered one of the most vicious prisons in the US. There he would fight every day to survive, leading to a climactic prison brawl that put a target on his back. He was soon transferred out of Rikers and eventually found his way back to Colorado as a free man for the first time in 5 years.
Ian wasn't out of the woods yet though, he would still struggle on and off with addiction before finally finding his salvation, being baptized, and giving his life to God. Ian has since become an MMA champion and a UFC fighter in the UFC middleweight division. Now Ian is committed to giving back and has a dream of developing a ranch where troubled youth can come and find their peace.

Arthur Kwon Lee - Visual Artist | The Ed Clay Show Ep. 9 | Art, Propaganda, & The Culture War
Arthur Kwon Lee is the most canceled fine artist in the world.
Prior to Lee’s controversial cancellation, his paintings have won awards from George Washington University, the Korean Artists Association, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the inaugural title of 'Artist of the Year' by the Eileen Kaminsky Family Foundation. Lee’s hasty success in the NYC art industry was abruptly halted after his public stance against radical Leftism and his declaration of Christian art as the peak of aesthetic culture in the West. (From www.ArthurKwonLee.com)
In this episode of the podcast we discuss the reality of the fine art word, the philosophy of beauty, and work our way through some of the most polarizing issues that have gripped our culture in recent times.

Dominick Cruz - 3 x UFC Bantamweight Champion | The Ed Clay Show Ep. 4 | UFC, MMA, Winning Mindset!
Dominick Cruz is a 3 x UFC Bantamweight Champion, fight analyst, and UFC commentator. Ed and Dom have known each other for years and met during their early MMA days. Ed's insight into Dominick's personality provide great perspective into what makes the mind of a champion.
Dominick's story is unlike any other you have ever heard. Humble beginnings paved the way to a glorious rise in the combat sports world. Before MMA was even legal in the US, Dominick was fighting on Indian reservations in "human cockfighting" bouts. Beginning his professional MMA career in 2005 he would compete in fighting leagues such as Rage in the Cage, Total Combat, & WEC before becoming an official fighter for the UFC in 2010.
Dominick took home the WEC Bantamweight title beating Brian Bowles in 2010 and became the inaugural UFC Bantamweight Champion later that year when the WEC merged with UFC, the following year Dominick defeated Urijah Faber to claim his second UFC Bantamweight title. However not everyone can stay on top forever, in 2012 Dominick tore his ACL and in the following years would tear his groin, quadricep, and experience other injuries that would leave him out of the cage for years.
In 2016 he would pull-off what Ed Clay considers the greatest comeback in UFC history, beating T.J. Dillashaw to reclaim his throne as the UFC Bantamweight Champion!
Dominick's story is one of extreme adversity, glorious victory, and the greatest comeback story you will ever hear!
