The Pain-Free Living Hour with Dr Yass, Episode #14, aired 9-3-23
This is the 14th installment and final episode of this season. It was a summary show for the season. We highlighted several testimonials that were powerful both in the ability of the Yass Method to quickly resolve symptoms and return people to full function but also described just how pain affects all aspects of life.
This was a great show and hopefully reinforced the clear chasm between the Yass Method and the rest of the medical establishment in the ability to achieve a proper diagnosis and provide the proper treatment to allow for pain-free full function in just weeks.
The highlights include the idea that the medical establishment generally believes the cause of pain can be found where the pain is being experienced which is why diagnostic testing is always performed in the same area. The Yass Method has proven over 30 years that in more than 99% of cases, the cause of pain is not where the pain is being experienced which is why the whole body needs to be examined and interpreted.
The medical system presents that diagnostic testing is the key to identifying the cause of pain while the Yass Method has shown that the interpretation of symptoms is the best way to identify the tissue in distress eliciting those very symptoms. The medical system presents that structural abnormalities identified on diagnostic testing is the cause of pain in most cases while the Yass Method has shown that the cause is muscular, even when structural abnormalities are identified by diagnostic test.
With this understanding and its singular derived understanding of how to strengthen individual muscles until their force output is greater than the force requirements of activities being performed, the Yass Method can get people out of pain and fully functional in just weeks.

MISINFORMATION******Osteoarthritis causes pain!!!Learn why this is one of the biggest fallacies
Watch this video and see the theoretical, clinical and scientific evidence that shows that osteoarthritis does not cause pain. The first misinformation is that osteoarthritis is inflammatory in nature. Then there is the idea it is hereditary. Then finally that the process of osteoarthritis can cause pain; all baseless MISINFORMATION.
If you get through this entire video and still osteoarthritis causes pain because a medical institution says so or a pharmacological commercial tells you so, god bless you. But then just wonder why everything that has been done for you including surgery to resolve the osteoarthritis presentation has left you still suffering with chronic pain.
It is time to recognize what is fact and what is misinformation. Only you can make the decision to walk away from the medical establishment. I would hope that getting the actual facts would help you make that decision. Now look to the only diagnostic and treatment model designed to interpret the body's presentation of symptoms to identify the tissue in distress eliciting those very symptoms; the Yass Method.
In more than 98% of cases, the cause of pain is muscular. These types of causes do not show up on diagnostic tests nor is there any medical specialty educated or trained to identify them. While the osteoarthritic change is falsely identified and said to be the cause of your pain, your muscular deficits continue to make it impossible for you to perform your functional activities and tasks without symptoms. Does that sound like your predicament? It is time for you to make a change and find the path to living pain-free and fully functional. It is time to get the Yass Method

MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!: The story of my tumor and the lessons shared
This video is a chronicle of the experience I have had over the past 5 to 6 months dealing with a tumor that grew on my right cheek. I had done a video about a month ago presenting it so those that i have treated and those I know would know what was happening with me.
This video is performed to explain THE MIRACLE that occurred in which the surgery I was supposed to receive in which I was to have my ear removed and my hearing impaired never happened.
I am performing this video for those that had seen the first video so they can see how I am doing and the miracle that saved me from an unnecessary surgery but also as a warning to those who get diagnostic testing that think what is identified is automatically accurate. I am living proof, this is simply not true.
I want the cultural bias to end regarding the idea that MRIs accurately identify for the cause of pain. This has been disproven over 40 years and yet continues to be promoted by the medical establishment and accepted by the global population.
The Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to identify the tissue in distress eliciting the symptoms being experienced. This is substantially more accurate as specific tissues create specific symptoms and specific symptoms identify specific causes. Over 30 years I have shown the cause of pain in more than 98% of cases to be muscular even when positive findings are identified by diagnostic tests.
I implore you to try the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. Within the first session, the cause of pain will be identified and confirmed to be muscular, the proper treatment including the proper strength training exercises incorporating progressive resistance (the core of the Yass Method treatment model and no other) will elicit 80-100% reduction in pain and improvement in function in most cases. Then you are educated and provided the tools to perform the exercise routine on your own getting follow up sessions every week or couple of weeks until you are completely pain-free and fully functional.
Chronic pain is not a medical issue. It is a cultural phenomenon perpetuated by the false belief that structural abnormalities like herniated discs, arthritis and meniscal tears identified on MRIs cause pain. Pain can and should be resolved in the acute by getting the right diagnosis and treatment. GET THE YASS METHOD FOR PAIN-FREE MOVEMENT.

Rico"s Testimonial- 30 days of the Yass Method transforms lives!
This is a testimonial from Rico; a guy i performed a zoom session with 30 days for pain at the gluteal region and foot. He simply explains what his circumstances were, what i figured out, what he did and the transformation in functional capacity that resulted.
This is the common response to the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. What is holding you back from scheduling your session and transforming your life?

Move From Thinking To Acting: The Only Way To Resolve Your Pain!
Those suffering with chronic pain spend most of their time in their thinking brain. This part of the brain focuses on the past and the future. It keeps the person thinking about failed treatments and makes them consider the idea that nothing in the future will change their pain.
It prevents the person from being in the now and truly looking and listening for alternatives that could resolve the pain and return the person to full function. Only when the recognition of living in the thinking brain is understood and a move toward living in the now can action ever be taken to truly resolve the pain and achieve a pain-free fully functional life.
People are constantly referred to the Yass Method from people who have experienced its unique approach to diagnosing and treating the cause of pain. It has shown that in more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscular even when structural abnormalities are identified by MRI. But since the thought of the structural abnormality as the cause has developed and failed treatments ensue, the person never gets the chance to try the method. They are stuck in the thinking brain and can't move to the acting brain.
The person who is used to living in the thinking brain as it is part of the human psyche, allows emotion to develop around the thoughts. Fear, anxiety, hopelessness, depression all develop surrounding the thoughts that prevail about the pain. But since thoughts are not real, the emotions that develop are based on non fact. This is where the ability to switch to living in the now can occur. Living in the now allows the person to switch from the thinking brain to the acting brain.
The person is now fully open and engaged in learning about possible alternative solutions to their pain. It is only then that they are willing to take action and try something that is new but certainly still quite valid and effective.
I implore you to move to your acting brain and consider the Yass Method. Take action. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

MRI VS A Bashed In Door Panel And Flat Tires.
Learn why a picture my not be worth a thousands words.
In the case of the MRI, the taking of a picture of a structural abnormality like a herniated disc, stenosis, arthritis or a meniscal tear at the time of pain does not mean that this is the cause of the pain being experienced.
Watch this video to understand the difference between taking a picture and understanding the symptoms that are present and which has greater accuracy in identifying the cause of the symptoms.
Then you are ready to get the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. It is the only diagnostic and treatment that interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to identify the tissue in distress eliciting the symptoms In more than 98% of cases the cause has been shown to be muscular, even when positive findings were identified on an MRI.

THE YASS METHOD REPLACES THE MRI- as discussed on the Weekend Whopper Breakfast Show w/ Gary Walker
This is a great interview with a gentleman with a radio show in London. We discussed how the YASS Method For Pain-Free Movement should replace the MRI for identifying the cause of pain. The facts are clear and irrefutable. The MRI is baseless in identifying the cause of pain simply identifying structural abnormalities found in as many people without pain as with pain and in most cases not able to be the cause of pain where people are experiencing their pain while the Yass Method interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to identify the tissue in distress eliciting those very symptoms.
Anyone listening will see in just a couple of minutes that the Yass Method is based on pure logic and 30 years of empirical evidence showing its success in resolving the cause of pain which it has shown to be muscular in more than 98% of cases, even when structural abnormalities are identified by MRI. Clearly chronic pain exists primarily due to misdiagnose and treatment of the wrong tissue.
Another critical point made was that until payment for service is based on positive outcome, there is little to no chance the existing system will ever change and chronic pain will go on indefinitely leading to the collapse of people in terms of physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
Listen and see if your mind in changed about the way the global medical establishment is diagnosing and treating pain. If so, seek the Yass Method and have the cause of your pain resolved in just weeks; not months or years.

L45 Is Not The Cause Of Your Pain; GUARANTEED! Here's why!
You get back pain, pain in the gluteal region, hip region pain, groin pain, front thigh pain and somebody coerces you to get an MRI of the lumbar spine and a herniated disc, stenosis or nerve root impingement is found at L45. Since it is found for the first time at the time of the pain it is asserted to be the cause of the pain. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE!!!!
This will lead to treatments like Epidural nerve blocks and surgeries you didn't need and will never work to resolve your pain. It is time you get the facts about what type of symptom you can expect to see if that structural abnormality were to cause a symptom. If you don't have this symptom, the structural abnormality is simply an independent variable to the cause of your pain and requires no intervention.
In 1994, a study showed of those people with no back pain, 70% had bulging or herniated discs. The conclusion was that the identification of a structural abnormality at the time pain is being experienced in no way should lead to the assertion that the structural abnormality is the cause of the pain.
Understand what symptom should be expected for each type of cause of pain and then you can conclude by interpreting the symptoms what tissue is in distress eliciting the symptoms. Muscular causes do not show up on diagnostic tests like MRIs which make them invalid in properly establishing a cause of pain or other symptoms.
Get the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. It interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to properly identify the tissue in distress eliciting the symptoms. In more than 98% of cases, it has shown the cause to be muscular. With the proper treatment, 80-100% of the symptoms and improvement can be achieved by the end of the first session with full return of pain-free functional can be achieved in 4-6 weeks in most cases.

MRI Findings What do they represent?
For 40 years you were told that when an MRI found a herniated disc, stenosis, arthritis, meniscal tear, labral tear or the alike for the first time at the time of your pain, it is the cause of the pain. Well in most cases, this is a 100% fabrication. The scam is a simply one; you are shown a structural abnormality at the time of your pain and therefore it is the cause. So then you get treated for these abnormalities and low and behold you are in pain indefinitely sustaining pain management for as long as you are willing to do so.
THIS IS YOUR WAKE UP CALL!!! Those structural abnormalities are not the cause of your pain. They are THE RESULTANT of the same cause of your pain, MUSCLE WEAKNESS AND/OR IMBALANCE. When you understand the principles of how gravity is supposed to run through your joints and what muscle weakness and/or imbalance does to the ability of the joint surfaces to absorb the force of gravity, you will then see clearly what is causes those structural abnormalities. You can then rest assured that they are not the cause of your pain; that in fact it is the muscle weakness and/or imbalance that is.
The evidence is completely clear from a theoretical, clinical and scientific perspective. You just won't hear it from anybody in the medical establishment.
Listen to what I am saying and tell me that this isn't pure logic and makes complete sense. Once you get here, just make an appointment for an evaluation and treatment and let's get you out of pain and fully functional living the life you so justly deserve.

Testimonial commercial- Pain Resolved Through The Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement
Here is our latest cable tv commercial to help create awareness of the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. Whether obtaining it in-person at our Jacksonville, Florida facility or by zoom globally, the Yass Method will properly identify the cause of pain which has been shown to be muscular in more than 98% of cases even when structural abnormalities like herniated discs, arthritis, stenosis, pinched nerves, meniscal tears and the alike are identified by MRI.
Then with the use of the uniquely engineer strength training exercises at the core of the treatment model of the method, you can have your pain resolved and function returned in just weeks; not months or years.
These structural abnormalities exist in as many people without pain and have existed for years before the existing symptoms began. The evidence after 40 years is clear. The global attempt to diagnose and treat pain based on baseless MRI results has left 130 million Americans and roughly 1 billion people worldwide in terminal chronic pain.
How long will you have to remain in pain before you come to realize something is wrong is how you are being treated. I was educated as a physical therapist only to realize by the end of the curriculum that the educational system is flawed and in every medical specialty, people continue to be educated under a flawed system. This is why the medical system will never acknowledge that it is the reason for chronic pain.
So if you ever want to imagine a life without pain and an ability to do what you want when you want, I suggest you consider the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement.

Testimonial- ICU Pulmonologist Tom Schneider- 5 years of Sciatica resolved through the Yass Method
This is another testimonial from a person who tried all the typical methods of treatment from the existing medical establishment to address his sciatica which failed until finally finding the Yass Method and had it fully resolved in just weeks. What makes this a unique case is that this person is part of the existing medical establishment. He is an extremely successful ICU pulmonologist who once recognizing that the existing methodology employed by the establishment was not working, needed to seek a method that was outside the system; literally completely outside the box.
Tom has been treated through the Yass Method for about 6 or 7 weeks. He has been seen one time a week at the facility in Jacksonville, Florida. He was instructed on how to perform the appropriate exercises at home 2 other days a week so he was performing the Yass Method specified exercises only 3 days a week. The recognition of sciatic not coming from the lumber spine but from impingement of a muscle in the gluteal region called the piriformis is the key to understanding that sciatica is a neurological symptom with a muscular cause. Sciatica is due to hip region dysfunction, not any type of lumbar spinal abnormality.
Tom was instructed in the very specific exercises that are derived through the Yass Method and are not part of any curriculum found in any medical specialty or in the fitness industry. The exercises must be performed accurately with the understanding that progressive resistance must be employed to cause the isolated muscles being strengthened to get stronger so their force outputs are stronger then the force requirements of the activities being performed. This leads to the ability to live pain-free and fully functional.
If you are one of the 40 million Americans or those internationally suffering with sciatica who have recognized that the medical establishment simply has it wrong about the cause of sciatica, please try the Yass Method and end your pain. Stop wasting time, effort and money on treatments that don't address the true cause of sciatica.
Make today the first day toward getting the right understanding and the right treatment to end your sciatica and reclaim your life.

5 Yass Method Principles To Get Strong- See if you have even heard of one of these.
The Yass Method is designed to diagnose and treat pain and other symptoms. The Method has shown over almost 3 decades that in more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscular in nature. With this understanding the ability to isolate muscles and get them stronger is the foundation of treatment in the Method.
A level of understanding about strengthening has been developed not from reading fitness magazines or listening to people in gyms, but through an analysis of strength training as it relates to the laws of physics. Understanding about how muscles contract, how to get the most from a muscle to get it stronger the fastest, how to precisely perform each exercise, understanding the value of rest between sets and its impact on lactic acid development, understanding the aspects of stability to maximize force output of muscle in performing the exercise, understanding the idea that resistance is the only element that causes muscle to grow, understanding how healing plays a role in growing muscle optimally; these are all aspects that can be found in the Yass Method principles of strength training.
The Yass Method has treated people from 5 to 102, from the most sedentary person to the highest level athlete, from minor injury to severe disease. The core principles of strength training have been used with all of these people in all of these cases.
Here are 5 principles that relate to strengthening of any muscle. Without integrating these principles there is a possibility of injury as well as limiting the chance of achieving strength gains. These are over riding principles that should be followed by anybody who is trying to get strong and do it in the shortest and safest manner.

1 Primary cause of shoulder pain. Understand this and YOU can resolve your pain
The biggest culprit in causing shoulder pain is the inability of the head of the arm bone to drop down in the shoulder joint as the arm is raised. This is accomplished primarily by a couple of muscles that make up the rotator cuff. It is a strain of these muscles, not a tear that is responsible for the dysfunction and pain.
In fact, when an MRI identifies a rotator cuff tear, it is the wrong muscle in the group that has nothing to do with the dropping of the head of the arm bone which is necessary for pain-free shoulder motion. This is why this tutorial is critical for anybody having shoulder pain with motion of the joint.
You will see that when getting the right understanding of the muscles involved in shoulder motion and function and how each plays their role, you can properly resolve pain and dysfunction when they arise. In almost every case of pain with raising the arm, it is the person who can resolve the pain and dysfunction by strengthening the appropriate muscles. No medical professional can do this for you.
So watch the video and learn. Take responsibility for your care and your future. God knows, the medical industry would rather you be a patient for life.

A Promise from The Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement
This video is designed to help a person finding out about the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement understand the core principals behind how the method works and why it is completely different from anything in the medical establishment regardless of the medical specialist you seek care from.
It explains the basis of the method in terms of how a diagnosis is derived and the fact it has been found that in more than 98% of cases treated, the cause of pain was muscular even when structural abnormalities were identified as the cause of pain by MRI. This is clearly in stark contrast to the medical establishment that simply asserts the cause is structural simply because a structural abnormality is identified for the first time at the time of pain which is the method known as correlative theory also known as JUNK SCIENCE.
Upon watching this video a person can determine whether the core principles of the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement makes more sense and is more analytically accurate then the use of diagnostic testing like MRIs to identify the cause of pain. Clearly the existing medical establishment dependence on the MRI has failed based on any and all measures.
Hopefully from this video you will see that there is a legitimate alternative to the medical establishment and you do not have to feel compelled to stay with it simply because they present it as a monopoly with no other choices of care. I recommend this video be shared by all suffering with chronic pain and with family members, friends and coworkers are who are struggling with anxiety, depression, hopelessness and suicidal thoughts because they feel there is no chance of living a pain-free fully functional life again. Please try the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. Upon experiencing it you will see there is simply nothing that matches it.

7 Failed Back Surgeries lead to 30 Years of Pain; 2 Yass Method sessions, Walking NO Pain or Limp
It was clear the pain he is experiencing is coming from strained muscles. The fact this has not been identified led to a decreasing functional level. The lack of function causes the muscles to weaken further making them more susceptible to straining when he does try to perform activity. He was a prisoner of something that simply could have been avoided if identified 30 years ago.
Almost anybody being treated by the medical establishment who has been told that their pain is from a structural abnormality at the spine simply because an MRI found the abnormality at the time of the pain is being lied to. The medical establishment will sustain this lie and will have you endure failed treatment after treatment as long as you are willing to accept this. You have to be smarter and realize the medical establishment makes no attempt to understand symptoms; period. This is why chronic pain exists and will exist indefinitely as long as those being treated accept a baseless promotion.
When you simply can't take it anymore and you have decided the time for a change has arrived, it is time to get the Yass Method. It is the only method I am aware of that interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to determine the tissue creating those very symptoms. In more than 98% of cases, the cause is muscular. This allows for a quick and effective resolution through the use of Yass Method strength training exercises.
Today can be the first day of the rest of your life pain-free and fully functional. Get the Yass Method.

For the 1/3 of the population who know they can resolve their own pain; this video is for you!
There is a theory that says that 1/3 of the population believes they have control over their lives and can resolve anything put in front of them with the right information. Then there is the 1/3 of the population that is unsure but given enough time and information will believe they can overcome anything thrown in front of them. Then there is the 1/3 of the population that believe that life controls them and they have no control over the things that happen to them.
This video is for the first 1/3 of the population. This group has already recognized that the medical system cannot resolve their pain or dysfunction. They have intuitively sensed that the pain they are experiencing is coming from muscle and are out searching for somebody to reaffirm their beliefs. This is the group who upon finding the Yass Method will use it with glee to end their pain and return them to full functional capacity. The Yass Method has shown that in more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscular even when structural abnormalities are falsely identified as the cause on MRI.
For the second 1/3 you have your chance to learn and decide whether the Yass Method makes sense. There is my YouTube channel, my Facebook channel, my website and blog. Huge amounts of free content for you to review and see if the Yass Method makes sense and whether it can end your bout with indefinite pain.
For the final 1/3 there is little to be said except I am sorry you find yourself in the circumstances you find yourself and maybe one day the system will be overturned so you are not in a position to be controlled by a failed system.

Pain worst at night or first thing in the morning? Here is why! You will never guess the cause.
For many people their pain is worst at night or first thing in the morning. They don't know why and this is very scary. Partly because it seems to come out of the blue but also because it impedes the ability to sleep which makes life a lot harder.
Since the pain comes when the person is laying or at least at rest, this is very confusing and can allow the mind to wonder into thinking that the cause is something very bad. Please ease your mind. It is nothing to be scared about. Here is a rational explanation and some tips to prevent this from happening.
You have to learn a little about how muscle works and what happens when it strains. To keep it brief, lactic acid is the by-product of muscular contraction and every time a muscle contracts lactic forms. With a strained muscle, the inefficiency of the muscle makes it produce a lot of lactic acid when contracting. This can turn the PH of the blood very acidic and dangerous. So the body pushes blood to the area to get rid of the lactic acid.
The excess blood in the area is warm and prevents the strained muscle from shortening to its natural state arising from the strain. Since pain receptors run along the length of the muscle, the sustained length from the blood keeps the pain receptors from concentrating as they would due to shortening from the strain. This is why during activity severe pain is not experienced.
But at night when no activity is being performed, the muscle can now shorten due to the strain. The pain receptors that run along the muscle can concentrate and emit pain. This is why the most intense pain from a muscle strain typically occurs at night or when the person has a chance for sustained rest.
What to do? You can use a shower, bath, hydrocollators, hot packs, patches with menthol to keep the area warm before going to bed or resting. this will limit the chance of the muscle shortening to emit pain. If the heat, does limit or stop the pain, you have proven the cause is muscular and now go on to get the Yass Method to resolve the cause and achieve a pain-free fully functional lifestyle.

You just lifted something and got severe lower back pain! What now?
This scenario has happened to millions of people and what have they typically done? Run to the orthopedist or neurologist because there was a culturally derived view that the cause of the pain is most likely from the spine. This is pure crap and clearly evidence has shown that the attempt to resolve the cause through the medical establishment is why chronic continues to remain and grow over the past 40 years.
What if a person was given some insight into a logical approach to think through the issue to reach a reasonable conclusion as to the cause and how to address it. Well here we go.
The first thing to think about is the fact that the pain was initiated by lifting an object or bending to grab the object. Bingo!!! Does this mean anything? Of course! What tissue is responsible for bending, grabbing or lifting? Muscle!!! Not your vertebrae; not your discs; not your nerves. The idea that a single activity could cause such severe damage to any of these structures enough to elicit a symptom is completely asinine. It is moronic to think that a simple event could lead to decay of structures designed to last you a lifetime.
So maybe you can now calm down and recognize that most likely you strained and possibly put into spasm some muscles in the back region. If you can find it within yourself to believe this, now let's end the pain. The first thing I would do is get on a flat surface and lay on your side. This will stop any requirements of weight bearing or supporting of the torso. Then apply some ice which if there is spasming will stop the spasms. Certainly you can take an NSAID if you feel this will help. The key here is to take any force requirements away from the muscles so they can relax.
Once things have calmed down and you can move around a bit, let's look at see if there are any corroborating symptoms to help explain which muscles are responsible. If there is excessive arching, limited range of motion in the lower back when you try to bend forward running your hands down your legs or you have difficulty grabbing your ankle and pulling our heel to your butt when standing, all of this indicates you are experiencing the most common muscular cause of back pain.
There is a muscular imbalance between the quads and hip flexors versus the hamstrings and gluteus maximus. A simply stretching of the first two muscles and strengthening of the latter two will achieve balance of muscle maintaining the proper posture in the lower back and allowing muscles to function optimally so you can do what ever you want when ever you want.
And all of this was achieved without ever entering the dark side!!!

You are now referred to pain management or a pain specialist. What does that mean to you?
You have been living with chronic pain and taking all the treatments the medical establishment can throw at you and nothing has worked. You are finally referred to pain management or a pain specialist. What does that mean to you?
It means the illustrious medical system has raised the white flag and surrenders. It means there will no longer be any attempt made to identify the cause of your symptoms. It means you are now referred to people who specialize in providing treatments to mask your symptoms. The cause of your pain will never be discussed again. Nothing will be done for you other then provide you means of trying to minimize the experience of your pain or other symptoms.
This is the death blow to your future. You can look forward for the rest of your life having pain or other symptoms with no chance of identifying the cause and resolving it. Once this process is offered, your life as you knew it before is over. Wrap your heads around this idea because nobody in the medical system will ever explain it exactly as it is.
You have a choice. Except this path and live indefinitely in pain or seek an alternative diagnostic and treatment model like the Yass Method. It interprets the body's presentation of symptoms to identify the cause of those very symptoms. In more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscle. This will never show up on diagnostic tests nor is there any medical specialty educated or trained to identify them. This is the reason for chronic pain. The wrong tissue is identified by MRI and then treated without properly identifying the actually tissue creating the symptoms.
Pain management is a thriving business for one reason; nobody is getting the right diagnosis and treating the right tissue. If you get the right diagnosis and treat the correct tissue properly, the need to elicit the emergency distress signal of pain ends and you have no more symptoms. You choose, stay with this system and build the pain management ranks, or get the Yass Method and get the right diagnosis and if proven to be muscle, end your pain quickly and return to a fully functional lifestyle.

Response to why MRIs are baseless and why pain is muscular in 98% of cases. Irrefutable facts!
I had a comment on a post in Reddit which asked for documentation to prove my claim that MRIs are baseless and that the cause of pain in more than 98% of cases is muscular. I was not allowed to post my response for some reason so I decided to make a video presented the response hoping it will be allowed to be posted.
The evidence I providing relates to things such as how correlative theory works, how fact is derived by looking at a hypothesis and null hypothesis, and the relationship between cause and symptoms derived from Hippocrates. This information is indisputable because it sits at the heart of the scientific model of how facts are derived. It doesn't matter whether lots of people say otherwise. They have to present information to dispute what has been used to determine fact since man starting thinking about what is around him.
To be clear, up until the advent of the MRI, these principles had been followed as to how to derive a cause to symptoms. The medical establishment made a calculated determination to move to the MRI as the gold standard to identify the cause of pain with 0 evidence to back up this usage. In fact, the MRI was invented to identify tumors in the brain, not to identify the cause of pain.
I recommend anybody suffering with chronic pain or knows somebody suffering with chronic pain to watch this video. it will open your eyes to why you are in chronic pain and will never see yourself out of it as long as your diagnosis and subsequent treatments come from the use of the MRI. People have committed suicide because they couldn't live another day with their pain. People have lost their jobs. Divorces have arisen and lost relationships with family have occurred because the wrong diagnosis was derived at inception of care and there was no willingness to change course. I implore anybody questioning why they or a loved one is still in pain to watch and have your eyes opened.

Chronic Pain: Not overuse; under strengthened. Take control of your symptoms!
For way too many people they go to their physician and are diagnosed with an overuse syndrome; tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, runner's knee. What does this diagnosis get them? No control over their symptoms, only to be told to limit performing the activity that brings on the symptoms or stopping it completely. Being given cortisone shots and anti-inflammatories but no control how to rid the symptoms and perform the activity fully to your heart's content.
Now you can take control by understand what is really going on. There is no such thing as overuse. It is a ridiculous term. All activities have a set force requirement and therefore if the force output of the muscles performing the activity is greater then the force requirement of the activity, it is performing without symptom development. Therefore, if symptoms do development, it is not because the force requirement of the activity is too great. it is because the force output of the muscles is too little.
With this understanding now the person can take charge of the situation. Strengthen the appropriate muscles and the activity can be performed to any level chosen without developing symptoms. No cortisone shots, no anti-inflammatories and no limitations in performing the activity.
If this is so obvious why doesn't the medical establishment promote this mindset and give control to people. Because the medical establishment is not in a position to treat muscular causes. They don't show up on diagnostic tests and there is no medical specialty educated or trained to identify them. Therefore treatment for muscular causes is the same as for structural causes; drugs and injections until surgery is consented to.
If you want to take control of your life and do the things you want to when ever you want to, i suggest you take the Yass Method mindset of symptoms with activity comes from the force output of muscles being less then the force requirements of the activities. Then you can take control, get the strength you need and live the life you so justly deserve.

What does bone-on-bone mean? You may not have it even when you are told you do!
There is the false perception that bone-on-bone can be identified by diagnostic test like x-ray or MRI. This is simply a fallacy. A person interpreting an image is not exactly what would be considered top line scientific investigation. In fact, that idea of going to a surgeon to find out if you need surgery certainly sounds like a self fulfilling prophesy.
Here is a better idea. Why not learn what the term bone-on-bone really means and what would the physical presentation of this be? If you understand how the knee, for instance, works and what a joint space is and how it affects the function of the knee, then you can understand what it is to be bone-on-bone, having no joint space. With this understanding you can determine whether you are bone-on-bone or not.
The biggest misconception promoted by the failed medical establishment is that pain at joint represents being bone-on-bone. Again, this is simply nuts. You can have a perfectly functioning joint and i hit you in the knee with a baseball bat. Is the pain you are experiencing indicative of being bone-on-bone? Of course not. So let's end any attempt to correlate pain to meaning the joint is bone-on-bone. Let's look at the more logical promotion that having a major loss of range of motion and at the end range if attempted to be pushed farther it would feel like a bone is hitting another bone is the presentation of being bone-on-bone.
And just for edification, I have treated thousands of people diagnosed as being bone-on-bone and were scheduled for joint replacement. All but two presented with having a full range of motion of the joint indicating the bone-on-bone diagnosis was erroneous. The cause of the pain at the joint was proven to be muscular and with a few key exercises the pain was resolved in just weeks.

Total shoulder replacement: Told you need this? Watch this and your opinion may change immediately!
In this video I discuss a case with a gentleman who was told by 3 orthopedists that his pain and dysfunction could only be resolved with a total shoulder replacement. Those are words from 3 people who make a living doing surgery determining this need by interpreting an image: that's it. The problem is that bone-on-bone can not be identified with the human eye simply interpreting an image. This is true even when 3 people try to do the same thing.
Getting 3 opinions from 3 people who are educated and trained to see the same thing is in reality getting 3 of the same opinion. The fact is that this guy based on his physical presentation was not bone-on-bone and in fact by the end of one treatment regained his full range of motion. He actually achieved full range of motion that was pain-free and regained a lot of strength of the surrounding muscle through the Yass Method strength training exercises performed in the session.
The reality was that the lost range of motion which was impeded by pain not simply an inability to go through further range of motion was from altered mechanics of the joint caused by weakened and imbalanced muscle. The head of the upper arm bone must drop to allow the elbow to be raised without the head of the upper arm bone rising as well and impacting the top of the shoulder joint which would create pain and loss of range of motion. This is much different then having no joint space (bone-on-bone) between the shoulder blade aspect and the head of the upper arm bone that make up the shoulder joint.
It was clear that he could only raise his arm so far but when I raised it it went substantially higher, something that would be impossible if bone-on-bone were creating the lost range of motion. It was evident by performing a physical evaluation (the core aspect of the Yass Method diagnostic model) that he was not bone-on-bone and just had some muscular deficits responsible for the loss of range of motion and pain.
With just some basic massage, stretching and the appropriate application of Yass Method strength training exercises that isolate the specific muscles responsible for symptoms and dysfunction and applying progressive resistance, the mechanics of the shoulder were completely returned and this guy left with full range of motion and pain-free. So much for the total shoulder replacement.
You have to take responsibility for the type of care you are willing to accept. If something doesn't sound right, don't accept it just because it seems to be the default position and there doesn't seem to be any other alternatives. There are and this is a case where for this guy searching for an alternative prevented an unnecessary surgery and provided the pathway to a full return to function with no pain.

Chronic Pain: Not including symptoms into identifying the cause leads to misdiagnosis!
Every day I treat people I am astounding how the person's symptoms are completely disregarding when trying to identify the cause of those very symptoms. The symptoms are coming from the tissue in distress responsible for the symptoms therefore wouldn't it make sense that the best way to identify that cause is to interpret those symptoms?
But everyday people seek care from practitioners not educated or trained to interpret the symptoms presenting or even to see them as a factor in making a correct diagnosis. For most, their education and training simply leads to the premise that diagnostic test findings like x-rays and MRIs are absolute in determining the cause of pain or other symptoms.
It is astounding to me how insane this principle can be when the symptoms are so overtly indicating that the cause of the symptoms is not the identified structural abnormality like herniated disc, stenosis, pinched nerve, arthritis or meniscal tear. That these structural abnormalities simply exist independent to the cause of the pain or other symptoms. But if you go to somebody not educated or trained to recognize the value of the presenting symptoms then you get a diagnosis that in most cases is almost the opposite of what the symptoms are describing.
I provided a presentation of symptoms at the neck, the shoulder and hip so show how the symptoms being presented in very common ways will show a muscular cause versus some identified structural cause. These are very common occurrences I see almost on a daily basis. Which is why almost every one of the people I treat has been suffering with chronic pain for a sustained period of time even though they have been seeking care over this sustained period of time.
As is always the case, I suggest you listen to this discussion and see if it makes sense. If not, stay with the medical establishment and be prepared for a very long, bumpy ride. But if it does make sense, then get the Yass Method and end your pain or other symptoms and return to a normal functional level.

Chronic Pain- How can pain in all these areas be connected? Does this sound like you?
Most people end up having pain in multiple areas and they are told they need to see different medical practitioners to address each independently. If you have the ability to interpret the symptoms which is at the core of the Yass Method diagnostic protocol, then you can see that one cause can create pain in multiple areas.
If the symptoms are all occurring at the same time, doesn't it make sense that they are somehow connected? This is a case study of a gentlemen I recently treated who had pain at the left knee, Achilles tendon and right lower back. Through a thorough analysis and taking of history it became clear they were all connected by a left knee surgery performed 15 years prior in which this guy never recovered. His body had compensated from the lack of strength which developed after the surgery that it led to him straining muscles in multiple locations.
The amazing news is that the understanding could be derived through the physical evaluation and history so a plan of action could be developed to address all symptoms in one session. The process ensued and the guy was pain-free and fully functional in just one session. He now just has to sustain the strength developed and he will remain pain-free and fully functional.
This can be you. Understand that in more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscular and understand that regardless of the symptoms there is most likely a muscular connection to all symptoms. This leads to the ability to resolve the cause by performing Yass Method progressive resistance strength training exercises. And then you are pain-free and fully functional.
