Exciting News! Episode 19 (4/26/24)
Today’s podcast is on a totally different topic! Last podcast we focused on social media, cell phone use and how it can be addicting. We discussed the importance of being aware of this and implementing different strategies to avoid becoming overconsumed, especially when we have little ones around.
Today we have an update on Hey Fit Mom and on our workouts. When we started the Vanessa Carlson Podcast we were leaning on hosting our workouts on a channel called Locals but after some time we did not have peace and did not move in that direction. But now we have a way to bring our vision alive. So grateful to have my husband involved as well. We are hoping that our website and platform will be done within 30-45 days. We will be able to host the workouts, provide LIVE workouts, one on one training and more. We are grateful to use our knowledge and experience these last 10 years in the gym industry as owners and 20 years as instructors and trainers – and service women.
Why do this? There is a need. And we are called. Heart Disease is the number one killer in women. We all know we should workout and eat healthy. There are gyms accessible to us and there are tons of online platforms. So, what is the problem? My husband likes to say that we judge others by their actions, and we judge ourselves by our intentions. Our intentions are not helping us, they are killing us. And I don’t want to see someone’s boobies, belly, and booty while I am working out in a gym or online. I also do not want to hear sexual innuendos or cursing. And not every woman feels comfortable working out with men around. Our goal is to bring a wholesome environment for women of all ages, shapes, sizes and levels. We want to bring light; cheer and we want to involve the Lord and honor him.
In the meantime, we are doing a few things:
• We are raising money through GiveSendGo.com/Heyfitmom to really get our baby rolling with the equipment needed and to pay for the time and talents of those involved.
• We are filming, editing, and organizing all the workout videos.
• With the donations we have received already we were able to purchase equipment to do live workouts so stay tuned for that as we hope to do live workouts on Facebook and Rumble
We have already submitted a Therapeutic Series to Restore 7.tv. Thank you, Johnny Enlow and Elizabeth Enlow, for hosting these workouts. We love what you and your team are doing. These workouts are for the woman who has never worked out before, the woman who has exercised before, but it’s been a long time and they don’t know where to start, there woman who is coming back from an injury or surgery, or the woman who has had a bad experience in the gym, online or with a trainer and they want to move forward but don’t know where to begin. This series is made to be simple. This series is to provide TLC and therapeutic movements to help those doing it feel confident while exercising and also become re-acquainted with their bodies. The workouts are 10-20minutes long.
We also finished filming another series that is more advanced that focuses on specific muscle groups and made for the busy woman or those that need ideas. There are many ways you can use this series! More to come!
Our Pre and post-natal workouts are still on our Hey Fit Mom You Tube Channel.
Prayers and encouragement are welcome!
All donations can be sent to Givesendgo.com/heyfitmom. Follow us on Instagram – Hey Fit Mom.

Using Faith to Punch Fear in the Face! (Episode 13) 10/13/23
When you don't have the strength how to use the Faith of Jesus. Remove the naysayers and receive what the Lord has for you!
Last week I was able to attend a Gala and have a, "girl's date night" with a good friend of mine that I have not seen in quite a while. The added bonus was being able to reconnect with other friends who attended the, "She Elevates," Gala as well. Some of these friends I have not seen since before my 1st pregnancy in 2019. We were able to hug and celebrate the answered prayer of the birth of both my children, whom we prayed for on several occasions. Hallelujah!
These ladies are powerful, prayerful woman of faith. It was so fun to witness God working in their lives and businesses and ministries as well. As I sat and listened to the speakers I couldn't help but also remember my prayer back in 2017 (8 years ago) asking the Lord for friends.
At this time we had been living in Ohio for almost a year. I was in Gainsville, Florida receivingtreatment at Clear Passage and I remember praying and asking the Lord for a friend. I remember also journaling about it. You see we moved to Ohio for the opportunity to open a gym and we did not have any family or friends there. And the people we were meeting were either staff members, gym members, interns etc. Not people you can hang out with or really have deep realtionship with outsid of our business.
The Lord put someone on my heart to reach out to my friend, Lisa. She was someone I watched from afar and she was also my business neighbor as her restaraunt was next to our gym, Ladies Super Fitness. I remember we also were attending the same church in North Canton, Ohio at that time. I have this one distinct memory of seeing her and her family one day heading into church and thinking to myself, "Wow she is amazing. She has her own business, a husband, kids, and she also loves Jesus! I want to be her friend." But I did not have the courage to say hello. Even when I attended a women's retreat with this same church I would see her and still could not muster up the courage to say hello.
When the Lord told me to reach out to her I did. We had coffee together and we have been friends ever since. The Lord is so faithful because not only did her bring Lisa into my life but others as well! Women I can trust, pray with, pray for and really learn from.
I sat in the Gala just in awe. the Lord spoke to me very clearly that friendships are importnat to him. I couldnt help but reflect on what the Lord has doen for all of us these past 5 plus years. It also reminded me of true story of friends in the bible that were friends of the paralytic. Their faith. What they did to help their own friend in need. Read with me in March Chapter 2.
What a reminder to have friends of faith like this, to be this kind of friend (with faith) and to seek our best friend who has the ultimate faith we can reach for any time especially in our moments of need or wekaness.
This type of faith also changes the atmosphere and sets the scene for your breakthrough and miracle. This type of faith changes the game. It pushes through to the supernatural realm to bring forth whatever the Lord has in store for your in the natural. Take a look at Mark chapter 5. Here we learn about the other true story of Jesus raising the 12 year old girl from the dead. Even Jesus had to ignore the naysayers or those with limited faith in Him, Even Jesus had to put out the spirits and powers of unbelief.
Child liek faith will punch fear in the face everytime. Be that friend of faith. Seek those friends of faith but most importantly remember our best friend who promises never to leave us or forsake us. Praise you Lord

When Breaking up Might Be A Breakthrough! (Episode 12) 10/7/23
How to let go old seasons of your life to usher in the new Grace God has for you!
The Lord has given me a season to heal and has reminded me of somethings I want to share with everyone that has helped me during this season of transition, change, letting go and breaking through.
I have been on both sides of a break up. I remember how devastating it was to be broken up with. The pain and hurt and sadness. I also remember breaking up with someone who I had been dating for about 7 years and being so scared to do so but I knew it was the best decsion for both of us at this time. In hindsight both breakups were some of the BEST things that could ever happen to me though while I was in each season it did not "feel" that way. Its very easy to be overcome and overwhelmed with emotion if you are not careful.
In our conncection with our heavenly creator we have the ability to step back and see from an outside in perspective. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours and this helps us get our emotions in check.
In this season I am also learning to not live with my hands closed by trying to control everything but to live with my hands open. Open to let go, to give and also to receive so that I can keep giving. We have been letting go of things personally, professionally (mentally and emotionally) and even physically giving things away (from big like our gyms to small like clothes and shoes), throwing things away that we have held on to for way too long. And in this letting go season I was reminded it is a time of pruning.
Pruning means to cut off. I also had a vivid dream that involved our business partner at the time that the realtionship was to be cut off. The dream scared me a little becasue it was clear and abrupt. But as a christian, I was reminded that pruning is a good thing. In pruning, parts are cut off for more fruitful growth. Cutting away of things that are no longer suitable or unwanted in order to produce and for continued growth. Even though pruning is uncomfortable and even painful it is not a punishment.
In the book of John it reminds us that God is our vinedresser and Jesus is the true vine and we are the branches. We read together this in John 15.
So in this season of pruning I am reminded 3 things.
1. Stay in relationship with Jesus. We cannot do anything nor bear good fruit unless we stay connected to Him. It is very easy to runa away from and be consumed in our emotions with what we see inthe natural realm only.Don't get caught up seeking the natural things of money, material, and things we can only see in the natural. Matthew 6:33 is a promise. Jeremiah 29:12 is another promise to stand on and speak;.vs 14 also promises to realeas us from captivity (physical, mental, emotional)
2. Seek His rightousness. Proverbs 11:30 is my goal and it helps me to keep things in perspective of what this life all about. Capture the lives of others to point to Jesus. Warning in 11:1 as God sees and knows everything. Warning that the things we become offended by start to grow roots of bitterness. We talk about what is righteous living. Proverbs 10:20 living in harmony with God. Proverbs 10:24 reminds us the desire of the rightowus shall be granted. Proverbs 10:25 the rightoeous will have an everlasting foundation. Proverbs 10:31 the mouth of rightwous bring forth skillful and Godly wisdom. Press into the supernatural and not get caught up in the naturla realm of feelings and only what we can see. hear and/or feel.
3. Be a remnant. Gods remnant people have a distinct confidence in Gods presence, hope in hardship, and optimism about the future. Remaining loyal to God no matter what. Think of Noah. Taking the stance of righteousness amidst all odds. Be someone who God can trust with the kingdom of heaven.
Just because things seem a certain way does not mean that it is. Give grace. Let people off the hook.
Allow yourself to heal when needed but dont allow yourself to stay stuck hurting because thats when we start becoming easliy offended and bitter in life.
Lord give us your perspective.

Shutting the Door on the devil (Episode 11) 9/7/23
Have you opened the door on accident to the enemy? See if you've been deceived!
I share in this podcast how I was starting to open the door to the enemy in my moment of weakness, busy-ness, distress, shock and hurt.
Consumed in my hurt I could not see the face of Jesus. I could not see beyond what I was feeling and experiencing.
It is so important to remember that the enemy, our true enemy, is a predator constantly seeking and waiting to devour us, his prey.
In the midst of this situation when I was sorting through my emotions and all the people and situation(s) involved one night I fell asleep and had a very vivid detailed dream.
There was a dark grey wolf with green eyes just watching me and waiting for me, stealthily moving about. It felt like the wolf was with me in my room.
The dream was a warning to me. This seed of offense and hurt from loved ones was startng to grow a root of bitterness. Bitterness, anger and despair are heavy and result in bondage which steals our freedom and connection with our creator.
The dream made me realize I needed to shut the door to the enemy and tp forgive. Forgiveness is not for the other person. The night I had this dream, before falling asleep I was reading my bible app and the commentary reminded me that even up until His death Jesus served, showed compassion and forgave. Lord give me that kind of heart because I don't have it on my own efforts.
I want to prove myself, justify myself, etc.
If we allow the enemy into our lives, heart, mind, etc he will allow this invite as an opportunity to destroy us and kick us off our God given path and destiny. He does not want us walking in joy, freedom and in authority with our Lord. He wants to suffocate and be in despair and in hopelessness. He wants us to die and be with him in eternal damnation. And he only has power when we give him our authority. By himself he is powerless.
This dream was a wake up call to NOT give him an invitation or an opportunity into my heart and mind.. An invite is requesting the presence of someone or something.
I was invitng him through hurt, anger, offense and unforgiveness. But there can be other ways we allow him to take root in our hearts or to have a foothold - what are areas you are allowing him to have acccess to you? Something you are listening to? Something you are watching? Because when we invite those things in we allow ourselves to come into agreement with them. An agreement is having the same opinion or decision arrangement to do something or to obey the same rules. You may think I am going off the deep end here but we are all coming into agreeent with something or someone. We are all a slave to something. We are a slave to righteous living or to unrighteous living. We are a slave to Jesus or a slave to satan. We have a choice. We make choices everyday.
So what are you agreeing with? What are you saying yes to?
When we say yes to something we are also saying no to something else. So in my case, if I am saying yes to bitterness I am saying no to forgiveness, no to living in freedom and no to living in harmony with Jesus. If I say yes to hatred I am saying no to love and living through love and from love.
Take a moment and ask the Lord. Lord, am I opening a door somehwere in my life to the enemy? to my adversary? Please reveal to me where I am allowing myself to be deceived?
Word Weapons to help you when you are resisting the enemy's tactics:
Matthew 5:43
Luke 6:27
Story of Joseph in the bible
Also a quote from Martin Luther King Jr -
Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies- or else? The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.
As the darkness gets darker we as children of God are to shine brighter for Jesus. Seeing the situation from a different and greater perspective and through a lens of compassion.
As Christ believers we operate in a totally different dimension from people who do not believe or follow Christ. So then how can we hold them to the saem standards?
Returning hate for hate muliplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot driveout darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. - Martin Luther King Jr.
Surely there is but one way in which to achieve what is not merely difficult but utterly against human nature to love those who hate us to repay their evil deeds with benefits to return blessings fortheir reproaches. It is the we remember not to consider men's evil intentions but to look upon the image of God in them which cancels and effaces their trangressions and with its beauty and dignity allures us to love and embrace them.
The Holy Spirit will help us have a higher perspective so we can love.
Shut the door to your adversay. Shut the door to your enemy. It is not about living perfectly as through our acceptance of Jesus we live in a covenant of grace with him but he yearns for us to grow deeper and higher with him. We don't have to do this on our own, the holy spirit is our helper.

Deep calls out to deep Part IV (Ep. 10) 8/27/23
Today we ask and answer Should we live of a life of comfort or a life that bears fruit? In our previous podcasts in this series we have asked and answered, "What is the big deal about God?" "Why should I want to go deeper?" "How to take back our AUTHORITY. "
Today ask yourself what is stopping you from growing into a deeper relationship with Him?
We will also share why it is to our greatest benefit to dive deep with Him.
I believe that many believers in Christ are choosing comfort which is stopping us and hindering us from bearing fruit. I think there are many who say yes I beleive in Jesus but live a life of "fan-ship' vs a life of follow-ship with him. They are on the sidelines vs being in the game so to speak. Think about it, even Satan knows Jesus is true and exists, how are we different?
There is a great true story to look at and learn from in the book of Matthew 19:16. Many know this story as the, "Young rich ruler."
A man approaches Jesus and asks Him, "what must I do to possess eternal life?"
Jesus lists quite a few things. Things the man already does/did. I believe Jesus already knew that the man did thiese things but was setting the stage for what He is about to teach us. The man said what then am I lacking as I already observe this? Jesus mentions, "spirtual maturity" "self sacrificing character" "sell what you have."
Jesus tells the man to let everything go and to follow Him. Let go of your comfort. Let go of your safety net.
Now ask yourself. What is your comfort? What is your safety net? What is your treasure? When we choose to stay comfortable we can't grow.
As a gym owner and trainer I always tell people, "Nothing grows -inside- our comfort zone! (I misspoke in the podcast). The magic happenss outside of our comfort zone." This same rule applies to our spirtual growth.
"The swimmer who doesn't fear sinking is the one who will always succeed." Do not fear.
This story in the bible is not saying Jesus wants us to be poor, or to lack. He promises us the opposite and He promises to never leave or forake us.
If we stay in the shallow end of the pool - and refuse to swim deep/ dig deep in our faith and get uncomfortable - how can we receive what the Lord has for us unless we grow with him and in order to grow vertically spiritually we must grow deeper roots with Him.
As a physical person we grow. Mentally we grow. Emotionally we are to grow and mature. Even so spiritually with our creator, savior, and helper.
Fear keeps us in our comfort. Fear keeps us in a state of loss. The bible says do not fear 365 times.
Matthew 10:29 talks about the He takes care of the sparrows and that how much so will He take care of us when we are of more value to Him than the sparrow. He will take care of us. We will not lack.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong, courageous and firm. Fear not nor be in terror before them for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
Speak this word over yourself because it is truth and it is powerful and it is how we combat the evil tactics of the enemy moment by moment and day by day.
The enemy is unrelenting. He is not all powerful but he studies us and watches us and what to bring us down in defeat and despair and ultimatley destroy us.
Step out of your comfort zone and step forward into growing deep in your relationship with Jesus. You won't regret it.

Deep calls out to deep Part III (Ep. 9) 8/16/23
What is the big deal about God? Why should I want to go deeper? In this third part of 4 we will discuss how to take back our AUTHORITY. Also, the common question of what God desires in us, what stops us from growing into a deeper realtionship with him and why it is to our greatest benefit to dive deep.
We start digging right away in Genesis 1:26. Read it!
God has given us authority. The power or right to give orders, to make decsions and enforce obedience. A person or organization having power or control in a particular area politivally or in an adminstrative sphere....
God has given us humans authority on this earth.
Luke 10:19 Read it!
Jesus says He has given us authority to overcome all power of the enemy. It is very crucial to speak the word of God over yourself, your children, your spouse, your family, your community, your nation, your church, your business, your ministry etc
If we have auhtority what is the problem?
We are set up for success so why is this not easy?
1. People do not know they have auhtority.
2. People do not believe it or think its silly Luke 10:21. Some people who are very
knowledgeable or educated may think this is silly
3. We forget we have this authority because we have become so busy in our life and fill our life with so much stuff we forget to exercise this authority.
4. We give our authority away and we do so very quickly. Eve example. I kept saying apple but it was fruit. We give away our authority through fear, doubt, anxiety, pride, spirit of offfense, spirit of entitlement.
5. Have we come into agreement that contradicts the word of God? When we use the expression "I am" We are referencing our God. When Moses asked who do I ay you are God replied, "I AM." And we are created in God's image. What do we say? what are we coming into agreement with? "I am tired" "I am not good enough" We must becareful what we say and what we are coming into agreement with.
We also give away our authority when we say "I have__ " followed by words of lack or loss.
Just like when beginnnig an exercise routine, the first time is the hardest but as you continue it becomes easier, same as when you exercise your authority. The more you exercise your authority th easier it becomes. It will become second nature and flow. And start thankning God ahead of time. Before anything comes into the natural it is loosed in the supernatural first. It is loosed in heaven first.
Stay blessed and encouraged! keep thanking the Lord and praising Him!

Deep calls out to deep Part II (Ep. 8) 8/13/23
What is the big deal about God? Why should I want to go deeper? In this second part of 4 we will discuss the common question of what is God and who is God? We define who and what is God. We discuss what He desires in us, what stops us from growing into a deeper realtionship with him and why it is to our greatest benefit to dive deep.
God the creator, one true God, supreme being, perfect in power and goodness. As Christians we believe in God the father, son and Holy Spirit - the Holy Trinity.
Growing up and even as a young adult I had a hard time understanding how to have a realtionship with the Holy Spirit. I remember having and "aha" moment with my pastor's wife in South Carolina and telling her that the Holy Trinity is similar to how water can be in a liquid form, in a solid form like ice or in a vapor like steam. And she gently and lovingly explained that was my human brain way of reasoning and explaining the Holy Trinity but it is much deeper and profound than water, ice and vapor. Maybe this example helps you a little. Maybe this is also why the internet, when researching God on Google, does not mention the Holy Trinity.
Our belief does take faith, trust and it is something we prayerfully accept. So we cannot get all our ansers from the internet!
Take a moment to look at nature and the sky. God created it all, the clouds, the stars, the trees, the animals, the flowers, and you and me!
All of our days are predestined. He is the creator of the universe and worls. He is truth. He is our father. He is wisdom. He is sovereign. He is all powerful.
Somethings I struggled with is if God is all powerful and all knowing why do bad things happen? Why does he allow it? Why doesn't he just clean it up?
Yes God is all these things an dHe is all powerful but He does not exercise all power. This is something I learned from the book the Shack and from the book Elevation by Terry Tripp.
God does not force himself on us to choose Him. God loves us so much He gives us free will. He gives us the power of choice.
We live in a fallen world and we can see that in the bible. And this is why we needed a savior. Why we needed and need Jesus. Everything He did he said it comes from the Father. And when He rose again He left us with the Holy Spirit and everything we receive from the Holy Spirit comes from God the father.
God gives us power and authority here on earth.
For those that choose God the Father and Jesus why don't we go deeper with Him.
We become passive. As believers we stay as an infant and we want to be bottle fed. We want someone else to feed us liquid as opposed to coooking ourselves and digging into a recipe and eating solid food. Can you imagine if we were still drinking bottles or being breast fed as adults!
We becom compalcent and/or we want to be entertained as opposed to being led by the Holy Spirit we choke the Holy Spirit.
I asked a friend why do you think people are not choosing God? She has some really good points. One thing she said is that people don't want to conform. I think that is something being said and taught in churches and at home but that is not in the bible. Jesus did not come and say to conform. To conform is to live by standards, rules and regualtions. Noone can do that. Noone is perfect. Conformity is religion. Religion put Jesus on the cross. Jesus comes to meet us where we are at to transform us. He does so by invitation only. It is an encounter.
Somehow that religious way is back here in 2023.
Another reason as to why we dont go deep is we beleive God controls everything. Think of some of the "Chisitaneese" we speak that is not in the bible.
"God works in mysterious ways" No, God is transparent.
"God gives and takes away" No, God came to give. For God so loved the world He GAVE His only son so that noone will perish..." God did not come to take away. He is not the author of sickness and tragedy. Jesus came and He healed and He left us with that power,
God allows__ sickness, cancer - No! You can see the character of God when you learn about Jesus in the bible. He brought healing, He cured, He loved. He did not bring sickness.
I hope this helps you understand who is the God we serve. Don't take my word for it I hope this encourages you to grow deeper with the Lord.
I hope this clarifies as to why people don't choose God. As believers somehow we have allowed that same spirit of religion that killed Jesus back into our lives and churches.
I pray that as you go deeper he will give you revelation and insight "new wine to pu tin new wine skins," a new perspective as behold He is doing a new thing.

Deep calls out to deep Part I (Ep. 7) 8/12/23
What is the big deal about God? Why should I want to go deeper? We will be exploring over these next 4 parts about what God desires in us, what stops us from growing into a deeper realtionship with him and why it is to our greatest benefit to dive deep with Him
The breaking component is part of our breakthrough moment. While my husband was away in Minnesota he got to hear from Donna Rigney and Emmanuel Johnson.
This season, for both of us is one of pressing in and pushing through the crowd reaching for Jesus. We are by no means perfect. Just two imperfect people needing more of God.
While he was away I was srtuggling with feelings of anger and disappointment but I was also praising the Lord while crying and sorting through these emotions. I know the Lord is above it all. He is above it and in charge of our situation with our business and our business partner.
Yes, I was experiencing these emotions but they are NOT truth. But yes, these moments and emotions are hurtful and there is some pain in this season of my breakthrough. It is uncomfortable, and it feels like I am being gutted from the inside which I believe is spirtual pruning away. I am also being convicted not condemned. He is bringing things to my attention that I need to let go of, release, and repent.
I believe this "breaking" is a call to go deeper with Him.
When I read, Psalm 42:7, "Deep Calls out to Deep." it really spoke to me. The God that we serve is a deep God. He is not shallow by any means. While at the beach with my family today I took a moment and watched in awe at all the God created from the waves, the sand, the big trees, the birds, us. He is in the details from the cellular level and beyond. He is a deep God and we are called to go deeper with Him. And as I was sharing my emotions with the Lord He is so faithful to meet me where I am.
There is a book I have been listening to on audible, Gateway to the Seer Realm by Barbie Breathitt and she says that in our darkest hour in the coming of the light there is new vision, we must keep hold of it to develop it as film also devleops in the dark and brings forth a picture. In the darkness is when the vision is being developed. Then we exit the darkness with strategy and a new plan. Jesus tell us to behold He is doing a new thing. Do you not perceive it? He does not put new wine in old wineskins. He puts new wine in new wineskins. He is doing a newthing through us. He is birthing a new thing. He is giving a new vision. Vision is planning the future with imagination and/or with wisdom. Only God can create. Creation only comes only from God. Satan cannot create he can only destroy, distort, and pervert. Where there is no vision the people will perish, We need vision. Through Jesus we have vision and hope so we dont perish and instead flourish.
This new vision given realeases hope, hope enables us to change, and change releases our destiny and destiny drives us out of the now and proels us into our future, our BREAKTHROUGH moment!!
This breaking you are feeling or maybe you are feeling as if you are in a dark place, HOLD ON. He is giving you vision, change, destiny and a future. Once we catch a glimpse of our future we can bring it into the reality of today. This is your breathrough moment. This is our breakthrough moment. This breaking moment as we go deep with the Lord allows our spirit to widen so we can have more of HIm. More of His presence in our life.
Go Deep!
My whole perspective changed when I read this bible verse and this passge from the book. Instead of feeling sad and despair I felt excited to know this pain is good and purposeful.
I just started a garden and in order for these plants to grow vertically and produce fruit they are destined to grow they have to grow deep roots.
When we surrender all of our pain and disappointments of the past we will receive God's promotion and an increase of a measure of love in our heart.
We live in a society where we dont want pain. We dont want to be uncomfortable. we want to be creatures of comfort. But this uncomfort allows us to grow further and have more of the blessings and promises God has for us because we will have more of HIM.
If we focus on the difficulties of the past instead of the promises of the future fear will stop us ffrom making the necessary changes and stop us from seeing having our future and hope. Don't look back.
I believe that people stay in the shallow end of the pool and don't go deep with God for a few reasons:
- We don't know who our God is and how much He loves us. Our lack of depth is because of our low perception of God. We buy fire insurance so we don't go to hell and we stop there and don't allow oursleves to grow and be a disciple of him and really know Him.
- We don't understand the authority we have and/or we give it away.
- We choose being comfortable over being fruitful.
Stay tuned for part 2.
