Billy and I visited a slum in Uganda to run an impromptu football camp. Billy and I returned to Africa in hopes of finally helping the Ugandan football team beat Kenya. We lost the first game due to horrible officiating so we brought a Native American stoolie to help us ref the next game in Nairobi. However, we were still very nervous as this time around Billy would be playing for his job, I'd be running the risk of missing my honeymoon, and we'd be missing some of our best Ugandan players from the lat game. Billy and I coach one last practice with the Ugandan football team before their big game against the Kenyan White Rhinos. Then we use our one day off to check out the source of the Nile River in Jinja where we party at Nyege Nyege music festival, stress out about terrorist threats, and almost drown in some SERIOUS rapids! Billy and I went on a gorilla trek in Western Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. While we did get to see two troops of gorillas, we were also attacked by some unwanted visitors. Seeing mountain gorillas in the wild was still the most magical wildlife experience of my life and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! On our way to Uganda to coach football Billy and I had a 13 hour layover in Egypt where we got emotional at the pyramids, rode camels, reviewed pizza, and crushed a zillion beverages. Upon arriving in Uganda, our adventure continued with an 8 hour drive to the Western part of the country for our gorilla trek. Despite some unfortunate car troubles, we both survived our trip around the planet in once piece! Last Chance Uganda premieres February 28th!
