If my chickens were starving, this would have been more to watch. My chickens are spoiled and are never really hungry. LOL They already had banana walnut bread and a bunch of other stuff. Our last "extra" Rooster, Ghost, got a new home today! I'm so grateful for that. I dI'd not want to cull him for any reason, but I couldn't keep him separate in a cage anymore. It was breaking my heart. He wasn't stuck in there 24-7. He got out to exercise and stuff, but he was too good a rooster for that. He now has 13 hens of his own! Right On Ghost!!! I heard the doggies going nuts out back. ChiChi and Romeo had run this little guy up into a pipe. I really don't like killing little critters unless i absolutely have to, so we got a trap and ran it up in it to transfer him somewhere where he can be beneficial eating the ticks and such. I thought he was watching me, but he was after a bite to eat.

This is what I have to do every night to keep my rooster quieter at night and into the early morning. By doing this he doesn't crow until around 6am instead of at 3am.

This video is from 7-28-23. Still had all the roosters and the hens were just starting to lay eggs.

Here we are outside at 9:30pm attempting to fertilize Female Bird House Gourd Flowers, with Male Bird House Gourd Flowers... by hand, in the dark, with crazy bright flashlights... LOL Yep... and we made sure we got it on video for y'all... That's right!!! Y'all see those bad ass pineapple plants??? Nature IS Soooo Amazing Y'all !!! Dont ever believe that s c I e n c e will ever out do Mother Nature. Nature is amazing! Nature is abundant! Our Natural State IS Abundance! We need nature in its natural state. Don't trust l a b "grown" anything. Ever. It is NOT there to help humanity. It is NOT there to help the "environment". The only carbon "they" wish to reduce, is YOU. Grow some kitchen herbs. I am so blessed to have every one of these hens and the awesome roosters to protect them. Big Pretty, my Jersey Giant Rooster and Mr Red, my Rhode Island Red Rooster are just Fantastic. This is what you get with 5-15 minutes a day (or more) of hanging out and showing love to your birds. No Rooster Attacks... Ever. Jersey Giants are Fantastic Roosters. No aggression. Very kind to the hens. No drive to fight other roosters. Super Protective of their hens... and because they are very large and black... the Hawks want NOTHING to do with your chickens. The hawks must think Big Pretty is the Biggest Crow they've ever seen!!! LMFAO
