Pervomaisk and its surroundings have been shelled by Ukrainian formations for eight years.

Over these years, hundreds of civilians have been killed by neo-Nazis. The militants not only abused the living, but also prevented civilians from burying victims of war crimes committed by the Ukrainian Army and the Nationalist batallions.
