I can’t believe more people haven’t analyzed Stanley Kubrick’s film The Killing (1956). It’s an early work and not as ‘deep,’ ‘profound,’ or labyrinthine as some of his later films, but it is still more layered than most other films of the period, to say nothing about films made today.
