On February 17, 2022, a ceremony was held in Washington, D.C., in which Captive Nations Coalition of the Committee on the Present Danger: China presented the “Freedom Award” to the human rights advocate and NBA star, Mr. Enes Kanter Freedom.

Additionally, Women’s Rights Without Frontiers presented “Speak Truth to Power” awards in absentia to two brave women of China, Peng Shuai and Zhan Zhang.

Speakers at the event included representatives and leaders of the Uyghur, Tibetan, Mongolian, Hong Kong, and Kazakh communities.
