"Eric Olander is the Managing Editor of The China Africa Project (CAP), an independent, non-partisan multimedia news initiative dedicated to exploring every facet of Chinese engagement in Africa. Eric has more than 25 years of journalism experience as a chief editor, producer, and correspondent at many of the world’s leading international news organizations including CNN, the BBC World Service, the Associated Press, and FRANCE 24 among others. He’s worked all over the world producing radio, TV, and digital journalism, but his primary area of expertise is China where’s spent more than a decade in both academic and professional capacities. Eric is a fluent Mandarin speaker with an undergraduate degree in East African history from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master’s of Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong."
