The Manchurian Candidate on "Essential Liberty"
Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." That quote often comes up in the context of new technology and concerns about government surveillance.
Benjamin Wittes, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and the editor of Lawfare, tells NPR's Robert Siegel that it wasn't originally meant to mean what people think. How would he know? He wasn't alive in the 1700's.
But then again, NPR's Robert Siegel is an avowed Marxist, just like Manchurian Candidate, Barack Hussein Obama.
I debated what to title this resurfaced video banned from JewTube because they really don't like being reminded that Marxism is a Jewish thing. I decided to title it including the words "Essential Liberty" because this is what it is all about. Some of the clarity in the imagery has been lost, but the monologue is 100% intact. I have a very clear memory and recall this speech when it first aired. It has not been altered in any way, shape, or form.
A friend of mine shared this video with me via Fascistbook messenger with the warning to not upload it on Fascistbook publicly. She had tried to, but it was instantly censored.
