The president has some control over the economy, but they can't simply make a decision to avoid a recession. Here are some talking points in the video:
Number 1: Not Absolute Control
Our governmental structure has a lot of checks and balances. The president does not have absolute control over economic policy.
Number 2: Business Cycle
The business cycle will always happen. No matter who is president the business cycle will carry on.
Number 3: Tax, Environment, Supply Chain, etc
Legislation can change regarding taxes, environment or supply chain.
