Occurred on June 22, 2021 / Anchorage, Alaska, USA

"The moose was on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail in Anchorage, Alaska at 8:04 pm on June 22, 2021. I was riding my bike when I saw the moose standing on the trail. I stopped at a safe distance (100ft or so) and waited for him to move. I reached for my phone to take a photo when he started walking toward me, so I ditched my bike and got ready to jump into the grove of large birch trees next to me (the only way to avoid a moose trampling). After a moment, I decided to move to the other side of the trees to encourage him to continue down the trail. He started walking toward me again, so I moved back into the trees, trying not to trip. Moose have been known to trample even the most athletic adults."
