Daring birds shield their home from reptile
Two daring birds shield their home from a monitor lizard who is after their eggs. The female dikkop bird spots the lizard approaching and quickly attacks him.
Defending its territory with a courageous move, it pulls on the lizard tail. Suddenly, the male dikkop abandoning its nest comes to assist the female with a two against one strategy.
The monitor lizard knows that it can't win the battle and retreats to the area where it is not threatened. There it waits, hoping for them to drop their guard so he can claim his prize.
