'Goliath' pencil drawing time lapse
I’m still learning to draw with colored pencils after years of grayscale. I’m probably over-compensating by over-saturating the reference photos, but it’s a fun way to learn to create vibrant color. As for the content: I thought it was a great photo, and say whatever you will about this region of the world, I will always be compelled by a story of an underdog with a slingshot taking on six cubits and a span…
I drew this using Prismacolor's Col-Erase pencils on Strathmore 400 Series Colored Pencil paper, finished with Krylon’s Gallery Series Fine Art Finish fixative
Recorded with the iPhone SE (the old one) and iPad Pro 9.7”. Video made with Davinci Resolve.

I neither endorse nor condemn the subject matter of my drawings wholeheartedly, if at all. I'm trying to make the best drawings that I can, learning and having fun along the way, and hopefully these videos share a bit of the process.
