Silent Prayer
Silent Prayer
I bled from wounds i could not see
in bondage of mind I was not free
in the deepest wounds I began to heal
a plead of prayer was my only appeal
I cried alone but none heard my pain
from my tears there was nothing to gain
young sorrows whimper and then cease
nothing works to offer release
I begged for mercy but none ever given
loss of hope in an endless prison
hidden from view in plain sight
if truth be told it would give a fright
I longed for love but was beaten instead
tormented memories go round in my head
monsters as caretakers a very cruel fate
hungry with dreams not filled with hate
I wished to live in a real home
a place to settle and not to roam
prayers please be answered I beg of thee
take my life lest my soul be free
