Rumble How much residents of a state worry about COVID-19 appears to have little effect on the number of infections or deaths, according to a study from Safewise. For example, residents here in South Carolina seem to worry about COVID-19 less than people in almost all other states. We rank 41st out of 50 in terms of our concern about COVID-19, with only 55 percent of residents here worrying about the pandemic on a daily basis. You would think that the higher the percentage of citizens in a state that worried about the coronavirus, the more likely they would be to take more precautions, and the number of cases and deaths would be lower. But the study shows no correlation between worry and cases, or worry and COVID-19 deaths.
