David Pawson is Wrong on Remarriage (Betrothal View Argument)
In no way am I "bashing' Mr. Pawson, I'm only coming against his belief on how to harmonize Matthew 19 with Mark 10 and Luke 16, on divorce and remarriage. It's not historical at all, meaning, it's not found in any church history, or even the Early Church Fathers. It's his belief and it's not based on scripture. We can't find a way to ignore Matthew 19, or to try to explain it away to make it fit. That is not proper hermeneutics. Let the Bible interpret the Bible. PLEASE, make sure to listen to ALL of my Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage series, Part 1 and 2, then listen to this. If you listen to this message first, go back and listen to Part 1 and 2, after listening to this. I thoroughly explain common objections and proof texts people try to use to prove the betrothal view. PLEASE, do not blindly believe me, study it for yourself! Do what God tells you to do, NOT me or Mr. Pawson, or anyone else for that matter! Amen!!!!
