If you have plans to start a business, you may have thought about getting funding somehow. Perhaps you've heard of venture capitalism or getting a bank loan... but don't know which one?
To be honest, venture capitalists are focused on finding high growth potential companies. Assuming you have that, I believe VC is the better option of the two. Here's why:
Number 1: Don't have to pay money back
The main reason I like VC is that you don't have to pay back the money you get. Yes, you have to give up equity, but for everything you get in return, it may not be a bad idea.
Number 2: Access to Customers/Resources
VC investors will invest in companies they know they can grow. You will get access to customers and resources from your VC.
Number 3: Expert Advice
When you run into problems, you'll be able to call your investor. A bank won't give you any resources besides the initial line of credit.
