Like him or hate him, Donald Trump changed the game of marketing.
How...?
He recognized that by polarizing people with differing political views he would be able to create super fans as well as super haters.
He also recognized that he only needs half of the population to vote for him... and the other half wouldn't vote for him anyway if he was nice to them.
I see a lot of marketers taking this stance. Making polarizing pieces of content to create a divide between their dream customers and people who will never buy from them in the first place.
