Louis L'Amour Western Magazine
From March of 1994 through January of 1996, we built and published the Louis L’Amour Western Magazine. Filled with articles and interviews with renowned authors like John Jakes, Tony Hillerman, and Elmore Leonard, it was a wonderful opportunity for new writers to showcase their short fiction. The July 1995 issue contained a never before reprinted story by Louis L'Amour called "WE SHAPED THE LAND WITH OUR GUNS."
When the magazine division at Random House was sold off, the L'Amour family decided to close it down because it looked like we wouldn’t have as much control over content and design with a new owner. All in all we had to work twice as hard and we still couldn't replace Louis!
Sadly, we don't have a stockpile of the 12 issues that were published, as they have become a sought after prize for collectors. They do show up occasionally on other sites so keep your eyes on the horizon!
Make sure you stay up to date on ALL the new books from Louis L'Amour's Lost Treasures! Sign up for our newsletter and we'll send you announcements of new titles, the release dates for books with bonus material postscripts, Audio Books, specials, discount codes and much more!
