Capt. Ivan McKinney is a member of the Virginia National Guard Joint Diversity and Equality Council's African American Heritage Committee. The committee is dedicated to seeking out African American History in the VNG as part of the Adjutant General of Virginia's initiative to address diversity and equality in the force.
