Don't Be Afraid (Though I am the First and Last)
Don’t Be Afraid!
Revelation 1: 17-18, Luke 12:7 (The Living Bible)
When I saw him
I fell at his feet as dead
But he laid his right hand on me and said,
Don’t be afraid
Though I am the First and Last
The Living One who died
Who is now alive forever more
Who holds the keys to hell and death
Who measures out your every breath
Who counts the hairs upon your head
And numbers everyone…
Don’t be afraid!
Jesus calls you
To eat of the Living Bread
And drink from the cup of the blood he shed
Christ died for you
He gave his life upon that tree
Yes Jesus bled and died
So that you may surely be set free
For He did not stay in the grave
But He reclaimed the life he gave
And now He gives eternal life
Freely to anyone
Don’t be afraid!
When he called you
Out from the living dead
He freed you from all of the things men dread
There is no cause
That you should fear the evil one
The battle is the Lord’s
And the battle is already won
There is no reason you should fear
Please listen to these words; please hear!
For God upholds you by his hand
And He will never fail
Don’t be afraid!
