Yesterday, Trump’s defense team and the Senate impeachment managers both released their pre-trial memo, which outlined their main arguments in the impeachment trial.
Now we all sort of have an idea of the argument on the prosecuting side, but it was pretty interesting how the Trump side structured their arguments and divided them up in two parts.
Today, one of Trump’s defense attorneys, Bruce Castor told a radio station that, quote, “There are plenty of questions about how the election was conducted throughout the country, but that’s for a different forum, and I don’t believe that’s important to litigate in the Senate trial because you don’t need it.”
This might actually foreshadow how the trial might turn out...
