Trump confirms legal team for impeachment trial; Conservative host Steven Crowder sues Facebook
The new defense team for the impeachment trial of President Trump was confirmed on Feb. 1st. The five lawyers on the previous defense team officially left last Saturday, Jan. 30. Former president identified two new lawyers as members of the defense team, attorneys David Schoen and Bruce Castor.
Schoen said “It is an honor to represent the 45th President, Donald J. Trump and the United States Constitution.” Castor added, “I consider it a privilege to represent the 45th President. The strength of our Constitution is about to be tested like never before in our history. It is strong and resilient. A document written for the ages and it will trump over partisanship yet again and always.”
Former President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize on Feb. 1 by an Estonian member of the European Parliament, Jaak Madison.
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz nominated Trump’s son-in-law and former presidential adviser Jared Kushner on Feb. 1.
