Part 6
A journey through Snowdonia National Park on the Welsh Highland Railway from Portmadoc to Caernarfon and return behind NGG16 class garratt No.143, the last locomotive built at Beyer Peacock's Gorton works.
Part 6 begins in the cutting below Beddgelert and continues with the downhill run through Aberglaslyn Pass and on across the verdant green plains through Pont Croesor to Portmadog. On the outskirts of Portmadog the train passes the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway and crosses the Cambrian line before crossing Britannia Bridge. At Portmadog, while NGG16 No. 143 runs around, Earl of Merioneth starts her train to Bleanau Ffestiniog.
